Just finished installing a new stock set from Rhineland Arms. Walnut with a coat of stain followed by three coats of Boiled Linseed oil. Sanded in the first two coasts with six hundred sand paper. Waited six weeks to cure before installing. The length of pull is perfect. And having an adjustable cheek riser is nice. Also have to sight in the new Vortex Viper scope.

Forgot to mention. Sat lites don't have blinking lights on them. Totally blacked out. You can see them moving across the sky back lit by the stars on a clear night, eerie.

got the texture coat on a stock I'm refinishing

got it a little heavy in a couple of spots in the bottom 2 pics

I'll finish it up with Aluma-Hyde matte clear to protect it more against chemicals and such

Got my Sig 1911 Tacops slide back today from red dot milling. The Delta Point Pro fits on it nicely. Swapped out the trigger and grip as well. Now she's already for the 4th.

Picked up a used G26 for rough outdoor use here on the frontier. Can play mix and match with the new subcompact P80 I assembled. May test drive em for CC as well.

Got in my Primary arms 3x microprism, so my 5.45 Saiga "zenitco at home" is done except for getting it refinished since getting the conversion done

Ordered a B Kings Firearms 13.7 barrel. I believe they are rebranded Ballistic Advantage Barrels. Was on sale for a good price.

Test drove the G26 in the chest holster. Changed a tire, took off the bushog, hooked up the rake, cleaned up the yard, adjusted the gate. Worked great. Test fired 50 out of it. I really like it. G19 mag with xgrip.

Yesterday I picked up this S&W Model 29 (no dash) 6.5" 4-screw .44 Mag with Magna-Ported barrel. Manufactured in 1958 or '59, waiting to see if S&W can confirm the year. Came in the wood presentation case. ...now I need to sell something...

Started carrying my S&W 640 Pro Series as my EDC, carried semi autos and 1911's for many years and decided to get a revolver after shooting a friends S&W 686 2.5" 357 at the range. I didn't know how much I missed shooting a revolver again after 30 years of not owning one, but there is something about a well made revolver you just can't beat and this pistol fits perfect in my pocket with the Desantis pocket holster.
