Shot the comped Dagger with the ACSS holosun. Worked great good handy design.
Noticed the lock nut is rusty on the comp. Rex silentium high quality. In fairness I shoot then wear for days outside sweating on it. Probably just needs some oil and a wipe. Dagger is fine no rust.

Ordered a new stainless captured recoil assembly for the PPQ from Lakeline, a steal at 30 bucks. Found a 1791 holster which fits the G19 with muzzle standoff device. Really like the extra weight as the muzzle hardly rises now when fired.

Pulled the comp off the Daily Dagger. Just fits in holster better and the extra lenght is not desired for this " mission" put factory spring back in. I'm sure I have something the comp will fit on. (S2k?) Going to try the cci 9mm snake shot with the lighter spring later.

    REMINGTON R15 VTR-- 18 INCH

No mods on this one. It's already light. 6 3/4 lbs. Added 1.5x4.5 lpvo. Shoots great. Set "0" @100 yards. Factory single stage trigger is not bad. May get LaRue mbt2 later. Changed the CH to an ambi warhammer, way better when using optic. 0 issues, except needed more ammo.

Shot 55 gr winchester fmj as well as hornady 55gr a max. Best group shown at 4.5 x. @100.( A-max) I was clipping evil pinecones too. Figure if I can pop a pinecone I can pop a crow.

VERY, VERY, VERY pleased with the rifle. Thank you Brian.
I can guarantee the rifle is more accurate than I am. Used bogpod and chair. View attachment 233356 View attachment 233357 View attachment 233358 View attachment 233355
    *** correction. V-MAX ammo. 55gr.

Got the holosun ACSS mounted. WOW. you guys have to check one of these out. Works great with my crap eyes.

If you like pistol dots but had issues finding the retical, look no more. The outer ring is not visible when you extend your arm only the chevron ( which I love, btw) the circle is ONLY visible if you are off center. If you see the left side of the circle move the barrel left to center. ( pic 4) Right, up. Down etc. After about 3 mins of playing with it you have it down its that easy.

I know you hardcore shooters are going to poo-poo this. It's easy to pick up a retical with proper aiming practice/ stance, but what if you are at a bad angle? odd cover? Injured? One handed? Weak side? On the ground? When some a$$hole is trying to shoot you? That's where this thing shines.
Put this on my outdoor screw around HD gun PSA Dagger full size. (17 pews) been carrying in a chest holster daily. ( life on the frontier where the law might be 30 mins away) Bride carries too, daily or has it within arms reach.

BDC built in.... - top of chevron, 25 yards, just under tip 50 yards. Bottom of chevron 100 yards... ( zero @ 25 yards with 115gr)
    Shooting to zero tomm.

** would also be good on a carbine.

Added a more detailed post in the optics section.

I looked and wondered, why are used firearms selling for almost as much as new? I usually just buy new!

Not today but last week I bought a 17 round mag for my 365. I carried it all weekend on a trip to New Orleans. It’s nice having all the extra ammo.

Picked up this funky Eotech with a built in laser. Pretty goofy design and the mofo is huge, but it does work lol. It's tape switch compatible, so I'll have to see if I can find one that'll work it lol

Just tried it. Good pattern at 4 feet. Staggered 115gr fmj with shot shells. Would eject but not pick up next round. Need a lighter spring, 14lb did not work. Looks like the wad cut holes too. Doable but need lighter spring. Used the magpul g17 mag. Maybe a 13lb spring? View attachment 234237
Keep a mag full of HP or FMJ and then have that last bullet to be fired from the mag be a shot shell. No weak spring needed and we'll still have a sure-cycling shot shell capability in case we come up on a snake... just gotta unload on the snake until get to the shot shell :) sounds like a winner to me. I bought some of the 9mm shot shells but haven't gotten out to the country yet to try them. Let me know how that works please sir. This is one aspect of moving to the beach that I don't like... there's no friends with ranches for at least an hour in every direction... however yesterday I did get to go paddling with dolphins, while hunting these two whale sharks spotted locally the day before. Surfed a wave for like 50 feet while coming back to shore! That was pretty cool! It's a trade off, for sure, and paddling weekly rehabs my shoulder and chest damage from the Harley accident

Consider a shoulder holster, with a horizontal holster offset by a dual mag pouch. I like this set up because I can comfortably conceal a Glock 33 rounder loaded because the mag hangs vertically under my shoulder. It's a great set up on the Harley. Hides that extended magazine quite well

Just finished fitting & installing a Cylinder & Slide smooth medium trigger (didn't care too much for the look of the OEM black plastic one), polished up the internals to improve the trigger pull, installed a Stan Chen one-piece Magwell/MSH, and topped if off with a fresh set of G10 grips. Looks so good I hate to shoot it & get it dirty :D ...not really, but I am happy with the results.
