Got a blackhawk thigh holster. Why? Because I bidded on it and won, lol. Oops. I'm sure I can use it for something. Came with 2 g19 holsters.
I use one as well. My backer plate is Safari with the single strap and I have removed the top strap so that it rides higher...just below the vest with ease of draw. I have the thumb release retention on top too. Mine is for my XDm.

I have mine chest mounted on my armor. Horizontal. Like the chest carry way better. Need to do more testing. Might move it right one strap. I shoot left. Bride still needs to paint it. To me "battle holster"needs retention you dont need to fiddle with to draw. (G21) Ymmv.

Low and left, every damned group. Since my neck surgery last September I'm really struggling to find a comfortable stance. Always shot modified weaver thanks to wrong eye dominance. Just can't seem to get back on target. Maybe I'm anticipating recoil or maybe my sights are off. First group is 115gr Norma, second is 124gr blazer, 5 shot group is 124gr +p Speer gold dots. All at 10 yards out of the new Beretta 92x Centurion G.

We didn't have the same surgery, but after my cataract surgery, I had to resight in all but a couple of pistols, including firearms with scopes and dot sights.

Ill try your setup and see. Set up the armor for a ready Grab and go.
Did more reading on these. Safariland ALS, Apparently you can remove the plug on the bottom or replace it with a different plug for larger weapons. So my 19 holster should fit g17 or g26 with comp. The only unknown variable is weather or not you have to use a light on the weapon for retention?
Hey! Great reason to buy a 19x!! Win! ( no rail on 17 or 26.)

Just finished my first Glock build! It was super easy and quite a bit cheaper than throwing an AR together lol. Quite happy with the finished product.
SCT frame, MDX integral comp slide, OEM LPK and UPK, Shadow Systems trigger and connector, AIM barrel.

Completed my Ruger 10/22 today. Add a Shaw 18" threaded bull barrel and 3-9 scope. Rifle has Magpul hunter stock. Complete reworked trigger assembly with trigger job and Volquartsen parts Wolf springs. Has an average 2 pound trigger pull

This is easy to fix! Just get to where you don't need to use your sights at all. Go 100% instinctual hand-eye coordination. Do you think Jerry Miculek is using his sights when he's doing world record mag dumps in less than a second? No, of course not. Do you think all those gunfighters 100 years ago use their sights on the quick draw? No of course not. Do you think the exhibition shooters who could shoot a quarter flying through the air or you know skeet shooters used sights? Nope they sure don't

Instinctual shooting is part intensive training to build muscle memory, and part natural talent. My dad is very much an instinctual shooter. He can pick up damn near any gun and you could take the sights off and he'd still score in the 9 or 10 ring of a silhouette with every shot in the mag in a few seconds. He used to piss me off so bad when I was growing up, as he made it look absolutely effortless and easy, while I had to work. We shot a lot of FOP matches growing up, did a little 3-gun and trap shooting, and every time he ran a class or was recertifying cops in Baldwin County, I was usually there for a couple hours after they were done popping plates off a rack or shooting at silhouettes at different distances and doing transition drills, but it's never become instinctual like it is with him. I could bring my gun up from a holster or low ready and be on target before I ever looked down the sights, and I could mag dump center mass at 7-10 yards, but it wouldn't be nearly as tight a group as I'd like. I'd probably get all 10-15 rounds in the silhouette, but it wouldn't be pretty.
