My Armslist reference was that the screen is busy with too much info and the ad line and photo are compressed.
While I appreciate the hard work and effort you have put in, I find the new look jumbled and confusing. May be that I am just too old for change
Click on the box with the cross. Makes the picture larger. Ads scroll a little different. Allows me to scroll a little faster over the standard view.

I also like the older ads as it was a reference point for price changes over time, a source of commentary on specific types of guns sold as members asked questions and others gave answers. By the way, what did you mean in your reference that at some point no scanning of ads without being logged in? What are the chances of going back to old format?
no chance, no way going back, having to moderate the nonsense was enough
you can scan ads without logging in - the system though does not work on Tapatlak.

So, any posts before this change cannot be bumped or edited?
they are still there yes. They were all converted into the new system though. I just did not want to delete anything without knowing things fully work.

The system is telling me that I don’t have the privilege to reply to a post. WHY?

Any chance to get the screen colors toned down to match the “Dark GCGF” style, if selected?

The classified section is now blazing white, even though the rest of the forum is predominantly dark gray tones.

it adopts the main forum style, like the forum homepage. However yes, let me have him darken that some not an issue. I prefer it that way also.

So I have noticed at the bottom of the new ads there is a map and usually a street address listed. Is that something the user is inputong when creating the ad or is the system pulling the address when you take a picture of your item or post a new ad?

Could the link be added somewhere to run serial number checks on guns? I always found that a nice and convenient addition to the forum.

the person must have had detailed location info in those old ads.

I think I was on some of the old ads in this new format. I found the new ads and it looks like it is good to go. Thanks GCGF Mods!
