Owned the Zerbra II as a kid and was knocked over when someone told me it was made after a real pistol. Had to have a Whitney when I grew up.
Whitney's can be Jam-o-matics. Most of the issues are from the magazines. Another spot-o-trouble with them is because they are made of aluminum. If one squeezes the back ears of the slide while you are charging the slide you can easily bend them out of shape.
The nickel plated one in your picture is one of the rarer versions.
A wonderful light pistol.
I’ve always wanted an M1 Garand and an M1A. But I finally got the chance to buy an M1 Garand this week and hopefully I’ll have an M1A this weekend! I’ve been waiting 10 years to get my dream rifles

The Wolverine is no space gun... It more a futuristic gun.. a proper space gun has to have a plasma igniter at the front .. Or aiming aid..I’ve seen one but it’s been years.
Called a Whitney Wolverine, manufactured in the late ‘50s and early ‘60s.
Everybody was obsessed with space back then.
