Strapped on my brand new New Balance shoes at 0600 this morning and went for a brisk 2 mile walk around the neighborhood, trying to lose some weight. The exercise was no problem but my feet starting hurting pretty bad but I stuck it out.

I think I'll clean and air up my old but barely used bike and give that a try this afternoon. Got to do something, I've hit 280 lbs.

I started trying to eat less a few weeks ago and I've dropped 7-8lbs since then. I weighed under 170 this morning for the first time since probably 2010. I'm getting my bike fitted tomorrow and picking up a trainer this weekend, so hopefully the results will get even better once I add exercise to the mix. Besides losing some weight, I want to get in better shape. After mountain biking a couple weeks ago, I realized my cardio was SEVERELY lacking.

One fine spring day, Ole decided to take Lena for a drive in his new car. As they were driving through town, a policeman pulled them over and told Ole that he was doing 50 miles an hour in a 30 zone.
"Oh, no", Ole protested. "I vas only doing tirty Officer."

At that point, Lena, sitting in the back seat and trying to be helpful, spoke up. "Officer...you really shouldn't argue vit Ole ven he's been drinking."

My wife has had a slow leak in one of her tires for about a month now. I looked for the leak a couple times, but could never find it. She finally took it to Firestone in Daphne this morning. After she had waited for 30 minutes, they told her that they didn't look for the leak, the tread was separating from the tire, they were all dry-rotted, they were a road hazard, etc. They said she needed new tires immediately and that they currently had her size on sale! Luckily she knows when she's been fed a line of BS, so she demanded her keys back and left. She went to Fausak, right up the road and they found a tiny nail, plugged it and had her back on the road in about 15 minutes.

The best thing to find a tire leak is bubbles. Buy a bottle and put it into a spray bottle and spray the tire, it works a whole lot better than regular dish soap.

I wouldn't of thought so.
Been a little over 30 years ago when I found 1/2 gal's of Jack Daniels in a grocery store across the river from Baton Rouge( Port Allen) They had a stack of 42 1/2 gallon bottles of Jack Daniels for the low price of $12.49. I know there was only 42 because my crew bought every 1/2 gal they had which divided between 11 of us averaged out to 1.5 gallons each with the first of us in the store getting 2 gallons each. There would of been a brawl if we hadn't shared with the crew as it took the grocery store 4 days to restock and the only got 50 of the 1/2 gal bottles still priced at $12.49 and yep we bought all of that load too. I remember the shocked looked on the managers face when I asked him how long till they would get a 3rd shipment in. We wound up leaving town before they got anymore at that price, it was no wonder some motels had signs in the front windows No Dog & No Doodlebuggers. Seismic Survey crews are still called doodlbuggers but I no longer stay drunk for days on end, actually hardly ever take a drink anymore
