Would probably not be the first time this one has been in a fight. All matching Feb 1945 Springfield Armory M1 Garand. It'll get the job done.

    But I do have a Marlin 60 for backup.

    #64 rubber band "Sniper Edition"
And a Chinese SKS.... Still can't figure out why it says "Hecho en Mexico" on the butt though.

I would have Bushmaster M242 saved my ass more than once, granted I would need a lot steroids to carry. The 5 ton can take it!!!

Great shooting guns, just make sure you get a gen 2!

That's what I've heard. Ive never actually fired one but I like shooting 7.62x39 and using AK mags in an AR type gun seems like the perfect marriage to me.

Since the situation would require body armor I'd travel light.

For me it's the AK. The history and the longevity of this tool will speak for itself. Its purpose is absolute and that’s the primary reason I own one.

Can't just have one. Need to have at least two in order to be flexible to the needed requirements. For me it's a PTR-91 (can't afford a real HK 91) and a Sig 516 Patrol.

Love the PTR, are you running any optics besides irons?

Just some inexpensive scope. Works well though. Would love to put an ACOG on it someday. I had a trigger job done on it...made all the difference. Really nice shooting now. When I first went into the Marines, I was offered an HK 91 for $460, but I took an AR carbine for $400 instead. $60 was a lot of money to me at that time. Several months later, the ban came out. Been kicking myself ever since. But I am very happy with the PTR.
