i got the phone alert friday morning of a controlled burn on garcon point. a few minutes later i got a a high wind advisory text from hurlburt field, where i work. i thought to myself at the time that didnt sound good. the two didnt jibe.

but later that afternoon it wasnt an alert on my phone that warned me of the garcon point fire, as it should have been, but it was a concerned family member. my concerns are these:

1. what idiot made the decision to have a controlled burn on a day with high winds? i mean a name. name the person, then tell us what repercussions that person will see from his decision.
2. why i get alerts that there will BE a set fire, but not one when the fire gets out of hand and people in dickerson city are being evacuated. THAT is when i want an alert.
3. what is being done going forward to make sure this stupidity doesnt happen again.

i would like an answer to this email, both from you mr. markell, and you mr. cole.

we will see if i get an answer.

Fire Department folks need some OT pay on the weekend, have the Statey's set a fire that gets outta control... FD calls everyone in for OT weekend work and dat money rollls in for them.

Yesterday on PNN 92.3 FM news they said the burn was under investigation. PNN was not told who if anyone was responsible. I thought, like bloody hell. They know who made the call. Like was said earlier, someones relative will get a raise and a promotion out of the department before they hurt themselves or someone else.
