@Anangrypasta I don't have a fixed upper...but I got a guy with some detachable handles

Loaded about 600 rds of .243...checked and boxed it with my buddy


then we horsed around shooting my new to me S&W Model 41...I'm not a bullseye shooter at 50 yards...old eyes can't see that 1" red dot. After we made a slight adjustment to the sights we managed to keep them all in the 8" circle...even hit the bull a few times. Maybe it doesn't like that Aguila Target Competition ammo I was using. Man that trigger is light too.

Accidentally bought 6.5 grendel ammo when I thought I was hastily bidding on creedmoor.
That lead to this. I think we all know where this is heading...
Intrigued to play with rifle length gas system!
In hindsight, I should've bought the upper off here a few months back.

I got my doner gun for my newest project. Started to take apart. The "new" gun will look completely different. If anybody wants the bull barrel, let me know, I am sure we can work something out. As things progress, I will update.

Actually getting in to the Creedmoor was my very 1st time not buying something that wasn't a military round, (I don't count my USP .40s) this Grendel is my 2nd. I love 308, it will forever remain my mainstay!

Yeah, I don't see the 6.5c doing anything " better" than the 308. Different calibers are fun to fool with. But I do have .224v ammo and upper 4 ya too.

Picked up my staccato cs today from the lgs I go to. Initial reviews are positive. Can’t wait to take it to the range and try it out. Deciding what optic I want to run on this bad boy.

Swapped some lowers, uppers, bipod, scopes and sights. Thanks to @stage20 for the FN upper, it now has the carbon fiber bipod (thanks @Anangrypasta) and scope it deserves. Found the sdv 9 I forgot I had in the safe so cleaned that lol. Thought I had cleaned everything over the past few nights between 0200 and 0400 as I can’t sleep and it keeps my mind occupied. Found rust on the outside of the barrel over the action bars and inside the first half inch of barrel on a brand new Mav 88, never even been fired. I feel it had to be there when I bought it but if so shame on me for not catching it at the business last year when purchased.

What an idiot I am. Got all excited cause I thought I had found a replacement recoil system for my PPQ. It arrived and it’s for a PPS. Arrgghh. Why doesn’t anyone make a stainless recoil system for this da$& thing. It’s got the best trigger of any striker fired handgun I’ve ever shot just want to replace the recoil system like I did with my Glocks.

I was complaining to someone today about that. Most folks on here are geared up and are starting to let go of some less often used items. Unfortunately, 2 years of the current clown show ruining the country is taking its toll and a lot of people don't seem to be in the buying mood.

That’s bad ass, for sure. I’m old school….41 Magnum is my 10mm, but if I were not, I’d be all over the Gee forty….

The downside is most 10mm factory ammo is weak sauce, like a hair above .40. Maybe 100 fps. It's ridiculous.(BS) To really get the power you gotta reload or buy the big $$ ammo.
