perfect "gun stuff" day! Dropped off an item at TraderDan's, had another forum member come out to my house and pick up an item, then had another member come by and pick up a few holsters he ordered.... All in all, a good day!

Today I bought a 10/22 for $100. My mom texted me this morning asking if I would be interested. She works at a local gas station/deli and one of the regular customers came in asking if anybody was interested. It's a bit rough but this will be a project gun. My son is only 1 y/o but this will become his first rifle. I'm gonna clean it up and have his initials engraved in the stock.

All 6.8 fc brass u have to swager. At least the fc brass that I've came across. How is that pull down brass besides the crimp? I've seen two places to buy it.

The new FC 6.8mm headstamped brass pull down, has a fairly shalliw crimp. The brass I have does not have a standard military style crimp. I was sable to seat a SR primer after using an internal chamfer head on my RCBS Case Prep Center. I am just running tests on it right now. Next I will run capacity comparisons. However I will have to fireform the brass as the 358 MGP.

Friday night I put together a new upper and installed the Vortex 1-4x on my 6.8. Yesterday I went to the range to tune my competition AR after I put in new parts. I'm liking the JP silent captured spring/buffer with the lightest spring. It functions well with very little gas, but I've got some more tweaking to do on the Precision Armament comp. When timed at the recommended 1 o'clock, the recoil pushed the muzzle noticeably to the right. I moved the top of the brake to about the 1 o'clock position, but I haven't had a chance to test it again.

Ripped the head off a grip screw. When they say to go easy on the torx wrench, they mean that. Fortunately, I was able to remove the bushing and extract the screw, so that now all I need is an extra screw. Might go for a set of flatheads. Whew!

Frank be easy on our little big Spaniard.

Sorry, I love the guy, even though he is pretentious, he normally takes it all in stride. Yes I know he was most likely joking.

Hey! Don't make me tell him about your jealousy fueled beard trash talk. He'll drop the hammer faster than you can say Glock-Sucker.
