I love fluting as well. I'll send my Bobtail to get done as soon as this comes in.
Lately I've seen guns delivered as quickly as 6 weeks, but the rep is saying it could be up to 4 months. Just gonna set it and forget it, or at least try. Lol.

You can always commiserate with the Stamp Waiters Support Group. Hope you wait is short.

You're telling me that by now you don't have a direct line to Bill and he doesn't just toss one in front for you? Lol that's a nice build never figured you for the rail guns. When it comes in I can keep that bobtail gainfully employed for you lol

Makes sense, and just when my stamps come in. Lol. Thanks!

Not just yet. Lol. I do like rails, just not on carry guns. I had one I ran a couple of times, and I really liked it, but it lacked all the little details that I like. This should address that, and then some.

Dan, Do you remember the first time you ordered any thing or your folks ordered something for you that you really wanted when you were a kid? How long did it take for you to get it? FOR EVER.

Got the majority of a lower receiver out together last night. Ordered the last major parts aside from optics for it today.

Logged into M4Carbine this afternoon to browse their for sale section and was sickened when I saw a member list some awesome parts for sale at a ridiculous price, like a brand new Fail Zero BCG for $70, a brand new silent capture buffer set for $70, and Hiperfire 24c trigger for $105. Freaking nuts. If only I was a hour sooner. He also had the same stock that I just ordered today for $70, I just ordered it for $140. FML

Of course it all got snatched up ultra quick.

Ordered a 9mm (0.356 TC 125gr.) & a 357 mag (0.358 SWC 158gr) bullet moulds plus a set of shell holders for the Lee Ergo Prime about 4:45 pm Thursday from Natchez and they were delivered at 1:00 pm today. They gave 2 options for delivery one was Fed-Ex Ground to my door the other was Fed-Ex Ground to the USPS for final delivery. Cost $6 more for Fed-Ex Ground to deliver but with the USPS I have been left waiting before with no way to track so the extra $6 was a simple decision.

    Milton gunshow finds

I bought these two at the Milton gun show this morning. Marlin 1894 in .357, and a Colt 2nd gen in 45 Colt.

Primed 200 rounds of 9mm to go with the ones I thought I was going to load last week when I found out I had 30-caliber bullets instead of 9mm. Now i need to fire up the casting pot and melt some of the lead I've collected, and put my new moulds to use. One 5 gal. bucket full of wheel weights an another couple of old lead flashing should keep me busy for a while, just need to experiment with the mix and quenching for the best hardness.

I was bedridden most of the weekend after a minor medical procedure, but I managed to make the most of it. I ordered a lot of gun stuff, installed a TTI basepads on a couple Pmags, did some very limited dry fire, added some paracord to an MFT Minimalist stock, and went a little crazy with some grip tape.

Hope all went well with the procedure! Sounds like an overall productive weekend, for both you and the hobby (or obsession that we all have!). Speedy recovery sir!

Hung a black painted steel plate on the pasture fence in the sunlight. Let it sit a couple of hours to heat up and then took 3 shots at it with my thermal equipped night hunting rifle just to make sure it was still sighted in...not a super steady rest (was shooting off of shooting sticks), but it appears to still be sighted in.

Got my last parts aside from optics in for my newest rifle. Happy with how it came out for the most part. Really tight fit on just about everything, the paint I used is shit and I don't see that holding up well. Should be a good shooter after I get the gas block adjusted to the LMOS stuff.
Now its time to save for the optic.

Nice build madeSICC88, I probably missed the parts list from an earlier post but I'd be interested in seeing it. Maybe a build list with pics in the AR-15 section.

Yea I can put one of those together here in just a bit.

And thanks, I think I will be really happy with it once I get some glass for it.

Awesome, hopefully I'll be doing the same when the rest of my parts come together. FWIW I went with a vortex viper 1-4x on this build, can't wait to put some lead thru it.

Yea I had one of those on a previous build too. I really liked it. I will most likely go with another Viper variant with a little more magnification.
