I’m pretty picky who I deal with, they must be a man of their word , reasonable honest , and provide references if they don’t have any feed back on the forum. I’d expect anyone that’s wanting to buy or sell would want the same things from me.

I’ll bite. I have a phobia of being written off due to my accent, and have struggled with it since I was a child. I just work really hard to talk clearly and without an overtly noticeable southern accent when possible.

I try to make my written words accurately reflect my verbal speech patterns.

    Maybe I’m just silly.

I am from coastal Mississippi, though.
I have a phobia of folks not hearing my accent and knowing EXACTLY where I come from ! I greet folks with “How bout it” and long southern Sir’s and Mam’s ! I opened a door for some folks at restaurant the other night and as they thanked me I said “My momma would beat me if I didn’t”. I want everyone I meet to know that I come from the south !!!!!

Nothing wrong with that. I’m sure im still inclined to southern peculiarities, but by and large I try to nip any conjecture about my background in the bud.

Well I may look smart by the degrees hanging on the wall I am not afraid to let my southern pride shine! I am not ashamed of where my people are from and how I sound. I am not ashamed to wear my camo clothes out in public Even if in i ain’t huntin. (You see what I did there)
I try to follow and do like that one guy said, judge people by their character and not by the accent in their voice.
after all I have bought guns from Yankees before.

and as far as feedback, some leave it others do not.

Id be careful with the profanities, considering the forum rules.

Also it’s probably a bigger issue that the governor of Colorado has bad policies rather than the fact that he’s Gay.
Lol didn’t know the word “gay” was considered a profanity now. I would say putting “gay” in the profane list would be worse than using it describe someone.

He said “shitlib”, and edited after he was made aware that profanity isn’t allowed. You can see where his comment was edited if you look at the bottom right of his comment.

I would say that you shouldn’t speak if you don’t know what you’re talking about, but you do you.

But good luck in your search , and ;) a thumbs up for putting your location in your on scre

Moved here from CO a little while ago for most of the same reasons. Homeschooled & raised our family there & still miss it most days. I then have to remind myself why we left.

Yeah... God I loved Colorado. The mountains, the Snow.. Even the occasional April Blizzard and 2 ft of snow in 12hours.
(or did in the 90's when it was full of the "Leave me alone and let me do my thing" Mountain Hippies) Now its full of the "let me get all up in your business and tell you how to live" San Fran busybody socialists.
The writing was on the wall though with Denver and Gov Polis. Barring some sort of Split. (which I would be for). Probably not going back.

Nothing wrong at all with the South... I've been all over this country and several others. The South is a great place with real people.
I've never felt more at home than when I was in the South.
