Glock 20 w/night sights and surefire gazillion lumen flashlight next to bed in biometric safe and several feet away is my Draco hanging on a bungee in the upstairs air handler closet.... Just in case

I grab my Glock 17 w/light and see what's going on......depending how big of a bump, I my just grab my Ar pistol w/light.

I don't keep any firearms inside the house because they are so dangerous. I leave them in my unlocked truck for quick access.
1) I post no firearms allowed signs on all windows and doors
2) i wake me wife and send her to investigate while I keep the attack dogs with me, to protect them.
3) if she doesn't come back, I get under the bed and hide with the dogs, to protect them.
4) I call Walmart to see if they have ammo. I don't keep any on hand because ammo is so dangerous.
5) I'm not worried because our police department has an officer on duty all night, somewhere.
6) My mother in law (lives downstairs) cooks cabbage all the time and the aroma wouldn't support even illegal activity.
7) I insert the Vanilla Ice 8 track and they probably run
If the none of the above works I deploy my suicide attack dogs armed with booby traps from my secret spy kit.

You young man are too young to remember the true death toys. Erector sets. Miles of stamped, non-deburred metal.strips and thousands of #6-32 screws and nuts laying on harwood floors left more than one dad found the next morning dead and bled out on the living room floor.

Yep! My dad kept most of my toys, shrink wrapped them and mput them in storage. I'll bet all my Erector set stuff is in there.
