Any intel on how the last weekend went? Were prices reasonable or election-year fluff?

If you get a chance to pop in at Chad and Lola's they carry a good variety of plate carriers, holsters, and a lot of tactical bugout bags,conceal carry purses if that's your thing and molle pouches.They have awesome shirts,but none my size.Pretty cool knives also though

Have to go get my "Star" I'd, dl. So I can have the privilege of flying. Even though I already have several id's. Main one being the TWIC ($140)issued by the USGI. With that one I get tsa recheck. Also the Merchant Mariners document ($140) which is only issued by the USCG under ultra strict guidelines. Physical and drug test.
Now gotta provide 4 documents and pay another 48 dollars. For what???
Kinda a have too, or they are going to not let you fly. BS.
If you fly your gonna have to get it before May 7, 2025 or you will not fly. Must be Joe's 2025 project.

This (the star) is just a way to capture all the folks who don't fly ...

My Bride and I just retuned from the Caribbean recently. They don't even stamp your passport anymore. Just take your picture. We did invest in global entry a few years ago, so that's that. While I don't have anything to hide, I did sell all my toys years ago if anyone asks (wink).

They have the tsa "clear" system in place now, uses retina scan. My TWIC has the retina scan on it already. I've just been trying to avoid using it.

No idea. Guessing international but you have to have it for in conus travel too.
But no star today. They only do it on Tuesday and Thursday. Grrrr. Had to change my address on my DL for this can business.
