What & why did you choose the sidearm you selected?

So does the manual of arms match between your CCW & Duty Belt/Bedroom side table sidearm?

Do the calibers of your CCW/Duty Sidearm match?

Perhaps both the manual of arms (DA/SA, Striker Fired, SA 1911) and the caliber differ since both have different tasks to be performed.

Thanks for Y'all's inputs & opinions.

    I'll add Gunporn later.

    I own 5 Glocks.
I have a Glock 20 for hunting. It has a 6" OEM Glock "hunting" bbl. It has a green Lasermax installed.
I have a Glock 31. It is my,beside the easy chair in the living room, gun. It has a red Lasermax installed.
I have a Glock 32. It is my riding in my buggy, around the club, backup for night hunting, gun. It has a red Lasermax installed. It doubles as my bedside gun.
I have a Glock 33. It is my EDC for daily activities like grocery store,Walmart, gunshops, etc, etc.
Then there it s my Glock 42. It will eventually be my "old man gun". When the others get too big or too heavy,I will pocket carry the 42. --- SAWMAN

I have loved the .45ACP for decades. I once carried a 1911 as CCW. Then I got converted to the dark side. When an LEO I carried a G27 back-up as it caliber matched department issued duty weapon.

When I left law enforcement I went back to .45, in a G21 for bedroom gun, and a G30 for CCW.

Played with other guns and calibers, but the G21 is still the bump in the night gun; with a suppressor, ghost ring night sights, and a green laser.

Went to a G30S with night sights for CCW, and still mostly carry it.

I have a SA Hellcat with red dot I am preparing and working with to make it my old man gun when it is time! Got to plan ahead.

    Glock.

    I have several 9mm and 45 variants.

I am currently trying to buy 7 more in a deal.

you cannot beat them for price and function.

I bought one for $275. It looked like shit, had not been cleaned in years. I spent $15 replacing all the springs, cleaned it, and I have put a few thousand rounds through it.

So it seems that Striker Fired Sidearms have replaced all other sidearms when dealing with the Manual of arms?

I have a few that I've carried, but the one that I am carrying the most now is my Sig P365 with a Hogue HandAll grip on it. It's the most easily concealed 9mm that I have ever carried. I love my Vedder IWB holster. I can wear it inside my car while driving and it does not poke into my leg. Eleven rounds of Black Talon furry will get the job done.

    Fantastic collection sir.

Thank You. But they really aren't a collection, these are just some of the sidearms that have been or are still in service. But the Glock 17LS, (not pictured) & Glock 34LS would reside in my Duty Belt, although the Glock 21SF still handles the CCW role behind the back. Unfortunately many of the Duty/CCW pistols I've used have been bartered away and can't be photoed anymore. I just took a couple of snapshots so that folks that rely on other than Striker Fired Sidearms don't perforate thier 6 (backside) when draw & firing a CCW. (LOL)

The S&W E-Series actually resides beneath my pillow, as I get Older Glow in the dark (Night Sites) actually become more interesting than they were when I was a young man????????
But Hushpuppies are such a hidden gem. (LOL) JMHO.

Sig's are fantastic sidearms, but you are aware that after action Naval reports document that their tolerances get to tight to function as the round count goes up? So the more you fire the less they function. Perhaps that's why the "Buff Boy's" don't carry them anymore??????
