Haha... yeah maybe a couple parts missing there... is that the Nighthawk trigger?

Yep, but I think I'm going to trade it out for an sti as I build the rest. It's a caspian titanium commander frame. I think I'm going to send it back to caspian to fit the slide and plunger then fit the rest myself and decide on coatings. First 1911 I've ever owned and I'm building it. What was I thinking! LoL

I prefer the metal triggers to the STI polymer just cause, even though the STI I have has a nice feel... just something about plastic on a 1911....

sold the gun to a friend, who then had the slide and magazine cerakoted. Never even shot it. Bought it back for less than I sold it to him originally. Got back the gun, holster, the cerakote job, and 2 boxes of ammo

I know. Wonder if I could do some sort of blackmail thing regarding wieners and make him give me one?:lie:

I was going to bring up 1911s yesterday when we were walking around the gun show John. What I wanted to point out was an observation. I'm a bit of a newbie compared to most guys on this forum so maybe my opinion shows something interesting. I've shot quite a few pistols over the last few years but my favorite as far as feel and accuracy (for me) is my XD. I thought that it was the ultimate (again, for me) in fit and form. Then Hoss and I went to that indoor range in Mobile and he let me shoot his 1911. The very second I picked it up and pointed down range it was like a lightbulb went on in my head. I understood at that second what the term "points naturally" means.
