Good video of one of your sister ships passing the Duluth harbor entrance. Wiki says it's the same size and configuration as your ship. I'll bet the pucker factor goes up passing thru here. Oh wait, found your ship too in the second video. Watch the second video first.

Good example of dopes not knowing their azz from a hole in the ground. This was on our emergency generator. Luckily no body got hurt. This is what's wrong with America. Unsupervised 3rd engineer from a country with lots of sand and oil. ( I'm not a racist, don't start) Back in the day this guy would have been regulated to bilge scraper, nowadays with the feelings factory HR dept he'll be chief engineer soon. WTF???

Just watching some of the videos of comings and goings in the Duluth Canal on You Tube. They also have live cams of the lighthouse and the lift bridge. The conversations between the lift bridge and the ships are interesting. It appears to be quite a pedestrian attraction from the number of observers lining the seawall along with the narration of the activity. Sorta like a steam locomotive...you just gotta stop and look. Stay warm!!

Worked all night, spent the last 6 hours on the deck spraying water (cleanup). Cold and windy as hell. Pancake and sausage breakfast and an awsome sunrise. Somedays, I really dig my job.
