All the girls get excited seeing my spare 33 rd mag in my pocket! I have had 2 incidents when after showing my G 19 w the 33 rd mag installed the guys dropped their 45's and ran in fear...one almost shot himself in fear so he would not have to face the 9mm rds hitting him, but figured he would just miss w his 45.

Gonna have to throw a flag on that bit of bull

Yeah, but that's ok, as long as no ones feelings get hurt. I know Frank is game. Plus, it's been kinda boring lately, so we might as well create our own entertainment. It's an old one but a good one (at least for a little while).

Doesn't both me one bit. I need the entertainment. So why is it bull?

Because it is bull, unless you're comparing 9mm +p+ to TulAmmo 45acp

Not comparing +p go look at standard ball ammo 45 acp 230 fmj 352ft lbs and a 9mm 115 fmj 356lbs. Reason why a 9mm penetrates better is it is going at a higher rate of velocity and the bullets sectional density is smaller.

    Okay +P now 9mm 124gr +P 413lbs and a 45 acp 230gr +P 461 not that much of a deviation difference to have only 9rds vs 16 in a full size. Or standard pressure now this is Remingtion JHP 45acp 230gr 356ft lbs and 9mm 115gr 345ft lbs.

    Hornady Critical Duty
    45 +p: 464 ft-lbs
    9 +p: 369 ft-lbs

Bothe designed to penetrate the same distance, but one does it with more energy and makes a bigger hole. 3x 8 rd mags plus one in the chamber of 45 have the same energy as 2x 15 rd mags plus one in the chamber.
So, it's up to personal preference. I find double stacks too thick for carry, but hey, if you wanna dance with the fat girl, be my guest.

Just like you can get ammo rated at 464 ftlbs for the 45. The 124gr +P Speer Gold Dots are producing 410lbs of energy. There is a video on Youtube where a guy takes several calibers from 25acp, 380, 9mm, .40, and 45 and shooting against a little frying pan (not a skillet) and the only two calibers that actually penetrated were the 9mm and 40. I am trying to find the video but I work at a gun free zone....... I know I hang my head

Sure, that's why I chose Hornady in the same line, so we could compare apples to apples. Corbon PowrBall gets 550 ft-lbs, not to shabby, eh?

Just because it will go through a frying pan dosen't tell how much energy it will produce and expend in a human body A good cross bow will shoot through a frying pan.

If you look at the FBI uniform crime report all of the service calibers(38+P, 9mm, 40, 45) perform about the same; they all equally suck at stopping people.

Yeah, I do wish 357 Sig was more widespread. I guess I could always strap on a properly loaded 10mm.

Well I just just trying to pull that video to show 9mm sectional density vs the 45. Don't get me wrong though I love the 45. I just wanted a little debate. Work got slow lol

Yea, I actually like shooting 357sig more than 40; the recoil impulse is just different. I never liked shooting 40; only have one left and it's converted to 9mm. :)

Absolutely, and for me, 357sig justifies its recoil in its performance.

I have never shot a 357sig. Had a glock 23 and got rid of it because I figured there is no need for a .40. I never understood why the .40 was made. I know why because of a shootout but why not just change the to a caliber that was already invented.
