hey bcp, all the rest will "puss out" too once they feel the heel !

20ga is a very smart move... it will do the same damage at any given distance as above is designed to operate at.

macho shit ain't worth the time and expence.
even the 410 will get the job done, if you know what you have got.

If you're a little bitch, maybe.
Delivering the maximum amount of damage to a threat IS absolutely worth any time AND expenSe. Possibly why MIL and LE use 12ga, just possibly.

possibly, maybe.....we used 20ga auto's in DS and they did quite well up close and personal, unlike the 12 did with responding quickly to a 2nd shot, high and to the right without damage.

maybe some should be exposed to situations that could be a final attempt.

Right. It's the same arguments to either side of any caliber war. For me, I like 12ga and 45acp for the same reason I like V8's and high proof bourbon. Power. Macho bullshit? Maybe so, and if so, so be it. I've shot more 12ga and 45acp than any other calibers, so for me, it works.

I understand, I have had to defend my country and myself many, many times within our governments police actions.
and it was not intended for my men's well being.

    "Caliber Wars"

If you can actually shoot, one shot with a proper caliber should be enough. Why? Because shooting twice is silly. :)

Yeah nice to think that Dan, but rarely is 1 shot enough and w those 1911's you might as well have a revolver, what 7 shots?? LOL I prefer the 15 or 33..never had anyone say go ahead shoot me it is only a 9mm...lol "caliber wars"

A 6 shot 357 gives me just as good of a warm and fuzzy as a good 1911. But again, you have to know how to shoot.

While 16 rounds of 45 is even better, a plastic gun is just an appliance.
Like anything else, it's all about whatever floats your boat.

Where's Ed (Loki)? he'll be around soon enough to call me names.
It's all in good fun though. Lol.

I'm scheeming on how to get that damn Saiga 12 from Wareagle. Thirty round drum mag and bump fire stock. With that the odds of ME actually hitting something goes up.

I'm more of a shock and awe guy than the elegant one shot placement type. Of course, in a home defense situation using my technique there's a lot of sheetrock, trim work and appliance damage which leads to momma NOT beingnhappy.

just get a 20ga pump or auto with extended mag, your chances will be better in 3-5 shot group without any hesitation or
check-up hip sightings, and with positive results. no need for random erratic projectiles...........:eyebrows:

proven results in actual battle situations.

Is that why the military is looking for 20 gauge Benelli M4's and Mossberg 590's?
    Oh, wait, they're not.

In fact , the next standard issue sidearm will likely be 45, if the Army can ever get their act together.

Bigger is better, it's the American way.
