Helped the wife make a big ole pot of gumbo for her church tomorrow. Four pounds of shrimp, two of fish and one of sausage. Just put the okra in so it is still very much on top. Now the simmering begins!

Every meal you can eat it is a good meal, just like my favorite saying; every day above room temperature is a damn good day!

Getting your hospital oatmeal is a damn sight better than not getting your hospital oatmeal.
I'm not there, myself, but I've known people who have been there and gotten better, and people who didn't. I would trade every bacon and eggs, biscuits and gravy breakfast I ever had, to have oatmeal with them right now.
Sorry to get depressing. I promise I'll put up something to make up for it soon.

Tonight it's not really what's for dinner, but who's for dinner, I am having dinner with my best 2 girls. Olivia likes spaghetti with bread so that's dinner. And my wife she likes to clean the dishes...

You will NEVER have a finer meal than one prepared by your babygirl. Pasghetti, pancakes, its all amazingly gourmet and perfectly cooked.

Since the actual holiday is on Monday and it takes a while to do it old school; got my corned beef and cabbage tonight. Had spicy mustard on the side for dipping the beef. More for tomorrow.

    Happy St. Patrick's day!

Cedar planked salmon with balsamic rice, salad, pinot gregio and oh yeah, steamed broccoli. On the back porch in the rain.

Great grilling! I never liked brussel sprouts until I quartered them and grilled them after seeing it on a cooking show. Makes them real tasty.
