Too much chicken poo will burn it. Especially if the poo is "green".
Other than that,i used it for a couple of years, great stuff to plant 5Way in. Chicory and purple top turnips also.
Really too late now,but make sure to put the lime to it HEAVY. Especially if under pines.
Best way,get a cart full from a CO-OP. I used to rent a cart from the CO-OP in Walnut Hill.
If it is loaded too full you will need a 3/4 ton strong truck to pull it.
A ton per acre initially, then cut back every year.
To me,lime is the very best thing you can add to a food plot. It is still pretty cheap.
The fert is what will really cost. --- SAWMAN

Yep. Forgot about the lime got that too. Chicken poop is processed. Makes some of the fellas gag, it's hilarious. I wish the rain would lay off.

I used to buy it "green" from a farm over in Elberta, and spread it. That is how i know that too much/too thick is not good.
I would suspect that the processed would be great. I just never wanted to pay for it. The fert was bad enough.
Most people do not understand what it takes to have a good food plot. Especially in this north Fla red clay, sand, and planted pines.
I basically get all the peanuts that i want for free. I planted about 1/3rd bbl one year. They came up great and after the deer, hogs, and turkey got done with them, about 10-15% came back as volunteer's.
Plant some kernels from this kinda corn and it will come up also. Just will not have as big of ears. --- SAWMAN
