Got off work early yesterday. Broke out my DR mower and the limbsaw. Hope to clear some more over the next few days. Threw out some megaplot seed and filled the feeder.

There's a lot of free treated wood coming available from the marine construction industry right now. Call around. My buddy Mike just got his first free load of old pier pilings this week. They're all 12 or 15 footers and I'd say 95% had no rot whatsoever were good treated phone pole size and quality. For free. Delivered. Those marine construction companies have to pay to dump them poles at the public dump, so they're willing to drive to give them away.

Surprisingly, the deer actually look up at it. This was his cure to smoking in the stand, lol.
Cure to smoking in the stand?!?

Deer don't smell you with a cigar if you are 30 feet up?

I’ve heard that tale, about them not looking up but I can show you pictures of deer standing under a feeder that is suspended between 2 trees , looking strait up at it waiting for it to drop more corn.

Looks like im gonna have to plant sorghum or something that can handle wet ground. Most of what i planted is underwater, or beat down from the rain
Yep, I've got a pond in my plot. I'm in a swampy area.
