In my long-festering (over 40 years!) geopolitical thriller, one passage involves a typical Cuban protest in Miami, the kind that have been going on for sixty years now.

There is an old man, who looks to be about 90 years old, yelling in Spanish, arms flailing. Several others are trying to restrain him. One of the characters who doesn't speak Spanish asks another who does: "What's going on?" He replies:

"The old man is threatening to kill Castro, and the others are holding him back."

Or, as the father of a friend once said: "The problem is, all the "brave" Cubans are in Miami."

FWIW, I think it was a Norinco SKS.

Reports that I'm see it might be a Norinco SKS-D, AK magazine feed variant of the SKS.

Doesn't even have to be a penalty, just confiscate when found, no new ones manufactured and no transfers.

What you need to realise is if the sniper hadn't been spotted, Trump would have gone to the next hole and been less than 100 yards away. One report I read said less than 25 yards from the shooter.

So the FBI had been notified in 2018 or 2019 that this guy was a felon possibly in possession of a firearm. But much like the school shooter that was in the FBI's sights... nothing was found to be of concern. How about now?

They want to take guns away from legal gun owners for no good reason but when they have a report of someone breaking existing gun laws... crickets.
