I seen a lot of guys putting brass in the oven after using a liquid to clean there brass, 200 degrees for a couple of hours, just tell the wife your working on getting dinner!

I bake a lot of brass myself... With a single layer of brass on cookie sheets, I go 1 hour at 222 degrees. (I use 222 degrees because our oven is electronic and I just keep pressing the two button).
Has always worked great for me plus there's just something about the aroma of fresh baked brass hwell:
Another method that works is pre-heat the oven to 300, then turn the oven off and put the brass in. By the time it's cool it's dry. This method works better for us old folks that can't remember to get the brass out after an hour.
