I remember the prices rising in anticipation of Obama in '08,Hillary in '16 but other than covid and Biden inflation I am not seeing the same nutso scenarios this time even with a true collectivist running and her opponent having faced 2 assassination attempts.Am I missing something?

So what prices are up and which are the same or down? I know 7.62x39 is way up but 9mm and .22 seem to be steady. Don't know about 5.56 or .308 stuff.

I was just getting ready to say 7.62 x 39 is not up all that much but i checked luckygunner and it has moved up enough for this old fudd to raise an eyebrow . Cheap stuff [tela] 47.5 per to 97.5 per , US made hunting ammo [which is picking up the banned market shamelessly] 1.55 per . Brandon did this with his lets punish russia and the sunshine patriots loved it and now we cannot un-fuck ourselves .I think i have a pretty good ammo fort but the tela at 47.5 aint too bad if ya gadda . LG has not had tula ,wolf ,RAS or zoo animals in quite some time . If ya want sticker shock just try a LGS even their bargain off brands are high off the shelf .

I looked up my purchase history with luckygunner , i used them because they were the only vendor that shipped to NJ when i lived there so there are cheaper sellers . In 2021 plain old wolf FMJ was 37. per , tela from them to-day is 47.5 per that aint bad at all , over the years i bought cases from them to build up my fort [7 k] , i do look for RAS non magnetic because thats only allowed at my indoor range , i have 800 rounds left . RAS seems rare nowdays along with tula ,i do not have any tela yet so i do not know of its quality but i bet its fine for my intended use [zombie apocalypse] . Bottom line buy and stack deep the cheap stuff until its all gone and only the robber barons USA stuff is left . I would not think trump in and the uke signing a peace deal is gonna lift the russian ammo ban ever ....i hope i am wrong

Economy is soft, a lot of people have already bought or are not buying.

People can’t eat bullets. Buying groceries and other price increases is wiping out peoples disposable income.

Slow and steady wins the race buy a box or two at a time. Extra cash buy a case.

I still get sticker shock at the grocery store, and I’m sure that has a lot to do with it.

I also think for some “prepping” was either a fad or they got to where they were either comfortable with their supply or ran out of space to store it.

For others, like myself, I remember the predictions of doom like “you might as well buy it now, because it will never be this cheap again” only to see the prices fall in a few months or a year after spending an obscene amount of money. I think I’ve seen that cycle three times now.

I am not seeing a big price jump from 2021 to now ,10 cents per more for the cheapest [tela at luckygunner] . I do not see any tula ,wolf ,RAS and the zoo ammo , US brand pricing is off the scale . If i were just coming on the AK scene i would get cases of the tela at .47 per ,maybe i will get some tela to top off at 10 k

Ever since the ammo companies jacked up the pricing during the Wuhan, I haven't seen an increase (or a decrease) in pricing. I would have expected a little decrease since there are distributors and big shops sitting on pallets of ammo. It hasn't happened. It's probably due to the fact that prices for copper, brass and lead are also high and haven't come down.

When I was up in Atlanta last month, I dropped by Adventure Outdoors to see what is going on there. This is the shop that is in a old Harris Teeter supermarket and advertises they have in stock 18,000-20,000 firearms. They have pallets of all calibers on the floor and the storage racks. They are not selling much of it. Still, the prices haven't changed. Federal GMM 175gr .308 was $20-$24 a box before Wuhan. Now, it's $36-$40 and no one is budging on the prices.

BTW, do you want a drum of 14,000 rounds of 5.56?
