Reminds me of the Mekong delta. One of Marcinko' books talked about having to tear apart all their M16's and mags to clean out the massive amounts of mud after going swimming in that. And that the revolvers still functioned. Establish a perimeter and then take turns cleaning and then go on patrol
You can just call him Big "M", and the RSSZ is the op-area. JMHO.
The "Stoner" isn't exactly an M16.

But I believe that the mangrove swamps of South Florida better resemble the channel into the Delta from the South China Sea?

But since I have never "Officially been in said areas at such times" guess it's a Tactical Supposition.
Yet the Big "M" did select a few simple Frogmen with small arms precision training and Combat Experience into his "Elite Fighting Force" but He actually teamed them with Female Operatives. LOL Bet this is going to generate some GOOGLE SEARCHES? LOL
Should you have a SWAG, best I can do is abdicate to things you have asked correctly & directly. If it is a supposition and hasn't hit the internet, well I am like Sargent Shultz, I know nothing. Just remember that your Government makes folks sign paperwork that makes them forget any of these operations for 75 to 100 years.
We can discuss the BIG "M" Black Squadron since it's appeared on Google. We just can't ask who or what was done because it's a matter of National Security. MEH so long ago that nobody cares or has experience, JMHO.
