K&M Precision Rifle Training is honored to host the 2013 “GAP Grind”. With input from the top competitors around the country, combined with first class training facilities this event is one of the nation’s premier long range precision matches of the year. In association with GA Precision and the Precision Rifle Series the match draws those who wish to compete at the highest level and expect a world class event.

Here is the video from last year's event.

I don't know if this is open to spectators, but I would sure like to go watch. Melissa Gilliland, who is one of the competitors, is checking on this for me. Melissa is also on the Tac Girls Calendar, and Jim holds the record for the longest confirmed kill with a 7.62x51mm NATO chambered rifle in Iraq (Ramadi), at 1,367 yds. They are both regular instructors on Trigger Time TV, and together they own Shadow 6 Consulting.

I was told by one of the RO that it is not open.
They have so many people show up, parking is an issue.
And if you show up later in the day you wont get the safety brief.

Yeah, I know the competition is limited to 90 and it is already closed, including the standby list. I wasn't going to compete, so I would not have needed the safety brief. I just wanted to watch from a spectator area if they even had one. Judging by the video and what I have seen of the layout of the course, I don't even think that's possible.

    Talked to them today.
    Parking is the problem.
If you get there early, you will be locked in all day.
They stack cars in 3,4,5 deep.
And wont take time away from the match for traffic control.
If you want to come watch, park as far away a possible and walk in.
But you are welcome to come watch, but be ready to stay, or about a 1/2 mile walk from the main road.
