Today I finally got around to modifying a horse jump into a display stand so I could photograph my .22 rifles.

I placed another order for reloading supplies... to add to the stash... then sorted out some 6.5CM brass. Yesterday I finished up prepping 1700 pieces of 357 Sig brass... need to place an order tomorrow for some bullets, going with the RMR 124gr plated.

I shot the ECPS USPSA match at CORE on Saturday, got home around 6, then edited and uploaded my video.

Yesterday I tuned the compensator on the rifle I'm going to be shooting at the BPSA CQB rifle match next weekend and videoed the process. I let it render last night after I went to bed and planned to proof it this morning before uploading. File explorer was being extremely slow this morning, so I just started uploading it and set it to "private" so I could proof it before making it public. Unfortunately I've got to adjust some of of the audio levels when I get home. It goes from pretty quiet while I'm talking straight to blow your eardrums out loud when I start shooting. I'm going to have to split those clips up and adjust the volumes separately.

Haven't done much gun stuff recently. Ordered 1k .223 rounds from freedom munitions last weekend figuring it would be here in time to test it in my rifle before the rifle match this next Sunday but still nothing yet. It finally shipped on the 19th but UPS says unknown status after it initially departed. Might have to go pay some store prices in a few days so I have something to shoot at that match.

Haven't done much lately but Saturday(5/21) I bought 1124 rounds, 1000 of 62gr LC 55.6 with the rest a mixture 223 and 556 then went on to poppops ans picked up some 44 mag bullets and dies plus the 30 cal. GC's and 38cal pistol jackets he had for sale. Then came home and loaded up another 100 rounds of 124gr. fmj 9mm.

GC's and 38cal pistol jackets he had for sale. Then came home and loaded up another 100 rounds of 124gr. fmj 9mm.

Poppop was busy this weekend. I picked up a old Herter's press for de-capping, 3 sets of bullet molds and handles. Great prices. Very nice gentleman.

Installed a pistol/valuabes box under front seat of ragtop Jeep. Going to mod the underside of the rear fip up bench to discreatly secure long tools. Here is the link for the box:

Got some pulled 5.56mm 50gr frangible bullets to experiment with. Since they are about the size of 69gr bullets, I used 69gr bullet starting loads of IMR4895 and Win 748 to begin with. Starting loads of both powders properly functioned the 2 AR's tried (16" and 10.3"), so I'll try those loads plus 1/2gr more and 1gr more for accuracy testing this week. Bullets hit point first shooting at a mild steel plate 10yd away with no damage to the plate, and the bullets turning into dust. My goal is to be able to safely shoot steel at ranges closer than the 100+yd I would normally shoot steel at with a centerfire rifle. Recoil was mild, even for a 5.56 rifle, so I suspect they may shoot lower than normal bullet loads, but that's what adjustable sights are for. Bonus: The bullets look nice with their dark tips, like little AP bullets.

I've had good luck with 30 cal frangibles, so I hope the luck continues with these 5.56mm frangibles.

Well Shockwave PGO. The rest I assembled. Found receivers dirt cheap and then got a few 500s off GB. Cherry picked the parts. I have another in the works. Just need a few little parts. I may SBS one down the road. I dont know yet.

Loaded up another 100 rounds of 124gr fmj 9mm so it wasn't a complete waste of a day. Got to get my neck and right arm to ease up to where I feel like shooting the new AR.
