My wife lost her white Silkie the night before last, it had a problem ever since we got it as a chick and it just never got better.

I would get some serious brownie points if I could find her another.

If anyone has one they could let go, that'd be great. I'd be willing to pay good money for the right one, or two. Let me know what you have, or if you know anyone who may be able to help. I'll travel up to an hour away.
    Thanks !

Had not thought about Craig's list, and would usually rather go through the forum, but I'm desperate, so I'll check. I'd pay 2x or 3x the going rate, just so I can keep it in the forum. Thanks for the tip though.

Thanks for the tip. I Found 2 on Craigslist, 2.5 hours away and I paid more than anyone could ever imagine paying for a bird, but I've got a happy lady, and that's all that matters. Thanks for the help!

Can't have Roos in east hill unfortunately. In fact, we have a Frizzle that will need to go back out once it starts crowing, which is a shame, he's a cool little bird. I do t get it, they're no louder than dogs.

That's a great looking bird. We had a blue Cochin roo that my wife loved but we had to take him back. We're looking into moving out to Pine Forest so we can have a little more room and a little more freedom.

The hen is hilarious, I missed it at first. That turkey is gorgeous! Did it come from Meme's? We saw some like that last time we were in Robertsdale. Love turkeys, they have a real personality. We don't have the room for them though. The gamecock is hilarious! What kind of camera was that ? The image stabilization is almost eerie, I thought it was an RC flier at first.

I got the turkey from a guy off the chicken swap on FB. As fer the camera, it was my phone....Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Hahaha I have PLENTY of room, just cost a bit to feed these suckers!!! But I love going out and feeding them especially bread!!! If you go to the bread stores they sell 40-50lb bags fer 4-5 bucks....I keep a ton in a freezer outside and feed it to em almost every day...

I tried the Note when it first came out. LOVED the size, but a couple of apps I needed for work wouldn't work quite right. I'd love it if the could make a phone out of the iPad mini.

We only have a few , so it's not very much, if we had 30, and my wife fed them all like she does, it'd start to add up. Makes for good eggs though. At least, that's what she tells me. Lol.

Yes they do eat well. Those aren't even scraps, she shops at the farmers market, specifically for the birds, lol.

How many eggs do you get out of how many birds?

    Rick

We only have 4 laying birds right now, and one that should start soon, the others are too young.

Because if the breeds, 2 lay nice sized eggs daily, the other two lay smaller eggs every other day. Even as is , it's more than we can eat, so we spread the love.
