As for the definitive answer to this thread, which could go on forever, Pierre in Post #62 has provided a succinct and 100% correct answer.
Unsafe with that bar code tag still attached to the 2 x 4... some of those staples will gitcha! : )View attachment 222501

Or maybe you just need to run a slug out to 100 yds... at night... and you're blind as a bat... like me : )Honestly, to me, "tactical" currently means a threat within my 21-foot bubble. For a shotgun, in those circumstances I want manueverable (probably "illegal"), reliable = pump action, and the ability to reload/top-off would be a bonus, if this is the one/only weapon I'm restricted to.
If a tactical shotgun was what I wanted, I would buy all that for the least amount of $ possible. Why? Because should I need it for the purposes being discussed, there's a 99% likelyhood it will be confiscated. Regarding the 1% chance it is returned to me, after jail/"trial"/"civil" proceedings at my expense, it will probably not be in the condition it was when taken.
For the purpose of this thread. Buy what will work for the intended/planned moment with the mindset you'll never see it again. Maybe more appropriately, won't be able to afford to see it again. Buy a "tool" you can afford to lose.
I want a 1 moa shotgun!!Or

I just ran the first five rounds @ 40 yds. for initial sighting of the optic, and the last shot would have been 1.5" from dead-center (low/right) @ 100 yds assuming 2" drop between 40 & 100 (albeit from a rudimentary "bench" composed of two tires and a very large plastic flower pot : ) I'll do some tweaking @ 40 and watch for holding zero before I move to 100.
P.S., anyone have a good shotgun bipod laying around? : )
3-shot group specs pending... after my shoulder rests up : )I want a 1 moa shotgun!!
My favorite is my sons old 20 gauge three shot browning. He is in the navy and was over seas, I came in late one night after gigging flounders and did not want to wake the wife, so I went to sleep in his room upstairs, I woke up to my screaming there was a man in the house down stairs. That old browning was in the gun rack by his bed, grabbed it and ran down stairs and stuck that barrel into his belly button hole- shot gun was not loaded and I know this is tactically not correct but it was all I had to work with- escorted him out of the house to wait on the police, he was not armed, thankfully and all was well. Laid awake many nights replaying what happened. I realize it could have went really bad, needless to say a different load out is beside my bed and loaded, but that night that little browning was my favorite!1: what is yall's favorite tactical shotgun ?
