Picked up some ammo from Bass Pro for my .22's and her Howa deer blaster. Took my Bride over to visit with dirtingd and his bride. Had alot of fun. Great visit. Got to check out some of his fine guns.
Our Bride's got to taking and we ended up with an antique corn sheller. Gonna fix it up and try it out. Then display it in the living room of the new place we're building. Got a set of 30-30 dies too for future fiddling. Thanks!

Cleaned up the gun safe and ended up picking up a revolver from Little Jack. Looking forward to plinking this coming weekend.

Cool. Let me know how it does, love the one my bride got me for valentine's. I already had the longer one with the 22 mag cylinder.
Longer one? The Rancher? or one of the Rough Riders? (I got the 3.5 inch barkeep)

Played around with my Dasher some today. Powder is 8208XBR and I recorded this ES & SD

Didn't print well for me...couldn't get comfortable on the stock.
Couldn't find all 10 rounds but this is the 8 that I marked.
Don't think if I put 2 more circles in the middle of that it would change much

Are those using virgin Alpha? If no pressure signs, I would definitely bump it up more. I find 2910 to 2960 fps to be the sweet spot for a 26” barrel.

8208 meters good enough out of the Harrels. I’d like to know what speeds are too fast with 105’s and 8208.

I played with H4350 in my BRA. Crazy low SD but lost 40 fps over varget. Very soft shooting though

It is 28" and no pressure signs. Yes, it is virgin Alpha brass and I am really just fire forming it now. If I am measuring right it is about .003 off jam
I fired the 1st 5 at jam with a small amount of pressure sign at 30.0. It took 2 rounds to get it zeroed
then this 3 round group. the low round is the second sighter

this is crazy right here and it is N140...they were about .003 off jam too

last weekend I got an ES of 12 and an SD of 4.45 on a 5 shot group with 30.2 gr of 8208XBR avg fps 2915
I ran this above 10 shot group to prove it out.

    I have 1# of Varget and 8# of 8208XBR and VV N140.
They are both a little longer burn than the Varget but not as long as H4350 IIRC

90 rounds down it so far
