Found this rifle grenade dummy, can't wait to try it out! Looks mean as hell on my CETME. Looking for 5.56 blanks if anyone's got some.

Would a 5.56 blank be enough to launch that? They do work fine in my can launcher though.

My 7.62x39 blanks in my Yugo SKS I had like 10 years ago would throw a NATO rifle grenade carrier with a pineapple in it like 200 yards. So yep a 223 blank would be more than enough for launching one at least 100 yards. It finally got too mangled to launch after like the 10th time. I know a guy that has a few spare NATO rifle grenade carriers for sale, if you want

My shell cards came in from ESSTAC yesterday so I stuck the Velcro and gave my recently acquired Maverick the Krylon touch. Replaced the pistol grip with a SB Tactical brace setup I already owned. Guess I need to rattle can my ammo now

I pulled out my Colt 6720 and noticed the Aimpoint PRO dot was kinda dim. So after 2 1/2yrs I replaced the batteries in both of my PROs. Not bad battery life!

Back in early 2004 my son and I were in Mobile Shooting Center when it was farther out Airport Blvd, they had this rifle on consignment, I bought it. My son named it The Jolly Green Giant cause it is a beast. Probably weighs about 15 lbs. Several years later my son is working for LSU’s police dept, they had purchased a rifle from Kmw , he was telling me about how awesome this rifle was. Terry Cross is who builds these rifles and owns KMW. One day they were having a tactical competition there at Baton Rouge and Terry was there. My son helped him set up the range so he got to not only meet Terry but talk with him off and on during the day. Jump to today, my son and I were talking about my rifle (which I haven’t shot in several years) so I decided to get it out of the safe. I had kept a file on this rifle but it never dawned on me who built it. Low and behold it’s one of Terry Cross’s . I contacted Terry and told him my story, he sent me his record on it. Doesn’t get any better than this. Some of the features of this rifle are
Remington 700 action chambered in 308
24 inch stainless fluted barrel by Krueger 1-10 twist Shilen competition trigger set at 12 ozs.
I could go on and on but I won’t bore y’all anymore. Proud to own this one.

Picked up a Glock 21 Gen 4 at the local gun shop.
Now go treat yourself to a 45ACP Kriss Vector pistol to share mags with your G21 :) Grey Man Armory has one on the wall, but it might be in 10mm. But at least you can handle one before ordering one in 45 and in a different color or configuration. I'm on my third Vector. My first was an SBR in 45ACP. Absolutely phenomenal

Worked on this gun I've been designing off and on for the past little while. Idea is to use a 0% lower, ie, 3d printed. Standard parts are AR barrel, trigger pack, grip, and Glock mag. Uses a roller style delayed recoil mechanism, but alas... things work better on paper than when they're actually machined. With the last prototype, it was almost impossible to unlock the bolt with the charging handle. d'oh! Haha

Do it WW2 Frenchie style, with hand tools and eye balling a grease gun! Hey, they functioned at least

Considering that this is being done on a manual mill, practically the same thing -- especially since I'm learning as I go. Might work, might explode, who knows? But that's half the fun.

Why roller locked? That's probably why it wouldn't charge easy. Go with a loose tolerance heavy bolt, like the Uzi and SKS

I have a couple AR9s and those little bastards recoil harder than a 223, mostly because the bolt is so heavy. Direct blow back on a 9mm is basically HighPoint tier. Can't have that!

I actually solved the hard charging issue, but the mechanism was a bit too unreliable due to bad geometry. But yeah, I always thought it'd be fun to build a gun from scratch.
