Had to take the dog to the vet today so took the day off work. Got done earlier than expected and had some time to kill. Grabbed the youngest and hit the range. As an old drill sergeant used to love saying "If it ain't raining, we ain't training". Right when we got there, the bottom feel out of the sky. Didn't get to set up targets but let the kiddo plink steel and remnants of clay pigeons that were scattered on the berms. He had fun, that's all that matters to me. He also got to feel the difference in recoil between .38 special plinking loads and .357 magnum defensive loads out of his sister's Taurus m65 and my Ruger Blackhawk. Poor kid is a tack driver with a rifle but is hopeless with a pistol or revolver.

Nice looking range. Where is that? Or is it your private range?

    Added this to my LWRC.
"Good deal" from Mike's. Last one.
Love the mechanics of this scope + the retical will be usefull.
Discovered this about these guns. - -> Zoom in on the fwd part of the upper. Look how far fwd it extends. Gives you another inch + of pic rail. I can collapse the stock another two positions and move the scope fwd with the P.E.P.E.R. mount and/or the scope in the rings.
Look how far the scopes eyepiece is fwd of the charging handle ears. This aint normal . . . BUT I LOVE IT. --- SAWMAN

I listed a couple AR pistols and a couple AR conversion kits to offset the purchase of a couple of new Black Rain Ordnance purchases. Check them out in the for sale sections!

Had an opportunity to see a Purdy over and under 20guage. It is a safe queen from the sixties. The value of this fine shotgun is appraised at between $110,000.00 and $125,000.00. Rare opportunity to see one.

I replaced the arched mainspring housing on my ATI/GSG 1911-22 with a flat one. I generally have no real preference between arched and flat, but on this particular pistol I thought the flat one would look better with the target grips I'd previously installed (and it does). Replacing the housing also removed the magazine safety.
