What gun stuff did you do today?

Yeah I was trying to decide which pattern I liked better. Filling in the whole block seems to give better grip though. I did two FDE pmags and they don't look as good as the black.

Yeah I've found doing that makes to much grip and mags sometimes snag and drag coming out of my plate carriers and chest rigs.

Damn those look good. What are you using skippy02 to do the stippling? Looks like you have an iron with an angled tip.

I use either my trusty old soldering iron or a variable temp with interchangeable tip heat tool

Loaded up 250 Barnes Blue tips for the 300BO. Got a deal on them 20/box of 50. LOL!

The four strong mounts I ordered should be in today. Need them for installing the presses at the shop. Moving stuff from Destin to the farm is a pain but it is a patience, patience deal.

I just got back from a quick trip over to Destin and back. Met a guy over there and picked up an Aimpoint Comp M2 for my Bushmaster/DPMS carbine. I should have the upper back on Friday. It is having the A2X FH installed. Pics will follow.

Finished installing a 7.62x39 barrel on my new "short as possible with out being NFA" hog slayer.



Then I mixed up all the remaining cerakote colors I had left over that by them selves wasn't enough to paint anything and sprayed some old metric wrenches I picked up from the flea market the other weekend.

FNH, your gonna love that X39 hog gun you got there. Some years ago all it would have taken for me to go the X39 route instead of the 6.8SPC is a better selection of <150gr bullets in .310". That is a great chambering for the close(r) range hogs and deer. --- SAWMAN

Yep, it's on a 14" Fortis rail... it's not LED, but still plenty bright out to 100 feet or so. Push button on the end for illumination. I like everything about it except it could be more bright.

Can you find a LED replacement bulb for the size it uses? Try eBay, I've bought hundreds of various led replacements off there.
Only issue is it might not be much better if it doesn't focus the light very good.

The new safety should be here in a couple of days. I am planning on hitting the range on Veteran's Day. You are more then welcomed to come along, as long as you behave yourself. No "bro style" or I will pistol whip you.... with a brick.

Got my advantage tactical firefly sights in the mail and installed on the Taurus PT111 G2. Broke the plastic factory rear sight and these were the only drop-in aftermarket ones available. Interesting concept in which you just make up the triangle and place the tip on a 6 o'clock hold. Seems I pick them up pretty well but will see how it goes with live fire.

Went to the range and tried out the new advantage tactical sights I installed. Actually changed out the orange insert for the green to have an all green pyramid which seems to suit my eyes better. The first mag was plenty acceptable for me especially for the first time ever shooting with that sight picture and the fact I haven't shot in over 3 months. Pretty simple and hard to screw up really. 1st mag 7 yards free hand...I'll take it
