I didn't think about that. Actually, the 556 makes a decent flame with the diverter. 308 should be even better. I do like me some roasters. Lol.

went out shooting and really focused on the fundamentals...scary part was I enjoyed shooting my glock and was on point with it... Ended up buying a XDS 45acp for when i need something smaller than my compact 1911.

Not today (last week) but first chance to post. This is the first lower I've put together from a stripped receiver. I decided to do a dedicated pistol lower for my 7.62x39 upper. I'm trying a Wolff heavy hammer and buffer spring and see how it goes. Haven't had time to test it out yet. Sorry, the picture is bad.

Its a Bushnell with red and green. For the price its not bad at all. I had it laying around after I got an Eotech for a different upper so I threw it on there.

Fired my new 300 Blackout build at Santa Rosa Shooting Center. Also got to shoot a 50 cal muzzle loader while there. Super nice guy was there shooting when I asked him about it. He let me shoot it and man that thing was cool

Lots today. I'd been at the beach for several days, so I hadn't done much lately. Let's see: I picked up my Rail gun, received my kaboom gun with a clean bill of health from Ron Phillips, put new grips on my little gun, installed a new magwell on my race gun, sold some mags and bought an Aimpoint magnifier and a Larue mount for my 308. Whew! Yes, I was having withdrawals. Lol.

Picked up a few hundred rounds of 124gr +p HST a couple weeks ago and finally had the time to hit the woods today and try them out in the ole 26, 19's and 17. 75-100 flawless rounds through each one so they made it into the 26 for EDC and my other "stash" guns. Was a lil snappy in the 26 ( I don't use no stinkin' extenders) but completely manageable.

Also found out today that if I was ever to become blind I wouldnt have a problem disassembling and reassembling a Glock. Usually takes me about 10 minutes to break one down completely and put it back together (not just field strip) but did it blindfolded in just over 30. Toughest part was getting the damn spring cups back on the firing pin. Yeah, I had too much time on my hands. ..

Made a range stop today with the old man and knocked the cob webs out of my 10/22 and broke on some new sights on 1 of my Glocks. It was a good day.

I took the sub sonic 358 AR-15 to the over cast range this morning. Got the Day-Night scope up and working correctly, our bright cloudless sky is a bit much for it. All went well right up to max elevation being 3 inches low at 50 yards. So this afternoon I shimmed the scope, so I can start again. :)

Today, I got in a few more original Colt parts for my XM16E1 and M16A1 clone builds. Things are coming along with these two builds. My C MP B barrel should be here Monday. My GM no-forge code upper (in the white) and second set of triangular handguards will be here Monday as well. I have already contacted Victor at US Anodizing about refinishing the upper in XM Grey to match the NDS-XM16E1 lower on order. Victor said it will be about a two week turn around. I am still waiting to see how the McKay Enterprises A1 lowers turn out before I commit to buying one. Everything is going well overall. Hopefully, in the next few months, I can have these finished up.

Also, I got Frank's trigger problem fixed too. It was something so simple. Once I removed the FCG, the problem immediately revealed itself. Time involved, almost five minutes from start to finish. Frank gets it back tomorrow at the luncheon.

Sold a few things to replace funds from a previous purchase.

Ran into another forum member in Publix.

Overall, a good day. I'm ready for bed now.

added the +4 basepads, increased power springs and new followers to the CZ mags for the USPSA match tomorrow. They now comfortably hold 22 rounds of paper-perforating 9mm bb's!

Ordered 200 rounds of Federal 308 GMM 168 gr. Guess I will get to see just how well PSA does for new customers.
