Well, picked up two new hobbies today.
One is keeping the turtle infestation away from our new dog, the other is getting the most milage out of an I spy book.

I did, at one time, draw. I may even try to draw again someday. But isn't hobbies what you do when you retire, to keep from going senile?

Forgot to add....I raced in a Sim Racing league for almost 10 years. Our weekly league was a 1.5hour race every Monday night. Also dabbled in some of the endurance leagues. One of my teammates was a kid from Bristol, UK that could drive the wheels of pretty much anything! We'd race in some 8 hour endurance races complete with driver swaps. He'd hand the car over to me with a 2 lap lead most of the time! Got pretty big into computer gaming...mostly Battlefield. Was part of a few squads of killers in my prime. I still shoot a few faces off in Battlefield online. But sadly, my racing days are over. Sitting in that racing chassis for hours on end night after night got the ol' lady fired up!

As I got older and wiser and the injuries mounted up - I gave up all sports that required running (tore both hammies too many times), like softball and soccer - never could play round ball - terrible at shooting and dribbling and never could jump and touch the rim. Next I gave up competitive and recreational snow skiing - tore both rotator cuffs during falls while racing. The most recent was my bike - rode for years and totaled 5 in my youth...got so recovery hurt too much and took too long so now my focus when not working is on hunting - deer and dove when I can, four wheeling on our lease, golf all which I share with my wife. Evenings are often spent gaming - mostly 1st person shooters - keeps me out of bars and trouble, at the end I want no regrets for things not done...:peace:

There was a time in my life that I played softball 6 days a week, but then I got married. Those weekend tournaments were a lot of fun.

I would love to join a softball league, I've always enjoyed playing that. A flag football league would be fun too, we play every thanksgiving at the highschool and its such a blast.

When I was active duty, I played on the intramural teams for all the sports except basketball.

Played on some really good teams and won a few championships too.

Some of you guys have already seen my other hobby. When I got my 2009 MINI COOPER S in May 2012, it looked like this.

By August 2013, it looked like this and does to this day.

I used to play golf and, at one time, had a 6 handicap. Between neck surgery, shoulder surgery and just not enough time, I don't play anymore. These days I cook, garden, cast, load, shoot and tinker with too many other things that grab my short attention span. This is all in the time I have left over after my 70 hour work weeks.

Awesome man, I used to go to a bunch of autocross events when I loved in Idaho and there was a lot of guys using Minis, they can hit those turns at some crazy speeds with a good set of tires.

Aquaculture. 110 tall. Several fish and a zebra moray. We've had it since December 2008, it has moved 3 times and will be moving once again in July. Hopefully staying in one place for a while.

Going to the gym is a hobby for me. My time to release all my frustrations. It actaully is theraputic for me. Other hobbies I guess would be taking the dog for a walk, throwing the tennis ball with her. Besides that it is guns, hunting, and fishing, also went and played paintball a few times in Mobile with a few friends. Starting to like paintball.

    That dyna is pimp!

Thanks, swapped on a 7" Fatboy headlight bucket with an LED headlight, Mustang seat, rear air shocks from a Road King, bags from the HD touring bikes, pin striping by Mountainman. The thing rides like a Cadillac. Next month it will be time for a tire change and it's getting wide white walls.
