Picked up a rental yesterday and it has a backup camera. Never really used one before and I couldn't get my self to trust it haha. Just felt weird staring at the screen instead of turning around. I didn't trust what I was seeing.

my backup camera is in the rear view mirror so it's not the hottest thing in the world. My headunit has the rear view mirror for the license plate I just haven't hooked it up yet.

Dante I would hate to come to IDPA and shame you with my little ROC.... JK after the last qualifier I can't ever talk trash again. I've had the flu the last couple days so I wasn't feeling like spreading the germs. I have more mags coming so I can shoot next week but i'm also on duty.

I looked up the range in Charleston and it looks amazing...10 bays for pistol shooting and various rifle ranges out to 800 yards. Membership is $100 a year and you have to work cleanup days or pay a fee...it's like awesome lets sign up...there is a $750 new member initiation fee...lol holy shit nevermind.

When you calculate the membership (they let you pay it out over time) for the 3 years i'll be there it ends up being $30 a month. I already found another range that is $50 a year for LE members. The outdoor range does USPSA/ IDPA/ 3 Gun so I can embarrass myself doing all the different disciplines lol. I'm so ready to transfer. I'll be driving as fast as I can out of here...but I better watch for them damn trees now.

Is it your current job that you don't like? I have a good friend in the coast guard here and he loves it. He's trying to stay here by getting a different job when his time comes up next year.

It's just the current unit. There is a weird momentum of everything is beyond mission critical and lets throw every type of standard/standard procedure out anytime anybody calls us for support. It's a different world between being on a boat where you're a tight knit crew who supports each other than being at a support unit where you walk around with a target on your back. I won't lie I chose IT at the time because I was tired of waiting to become an E4 and there was this smoking hot girl I wanted to date back home which is where the IT school house is lol. In the end it was a good choice and my post CG options will be plentiful.

yeah we dated for 3 years lol.... She had a wild imagination..actually made me believe her sister was adopted for 2 years and other weird things like she was allergic to carbonation. The hot crazy matrix is 10000% truthful.

Good for you, at least you got it out of your system. The matrix is the truth indeed. It's all good as long as you stay out of the danger zone though.

I tried one in the 8-8 range once. Fun but scary ride for a couple of months...

I married a 9-9 once. It was the best time of my life for about 6 months. I've never felt so alive, colors were brighter, it was amazing.
Then the manic depressive bipolar kicked in and I spent the next 6 months trying to get away from her. To her credit, she tried to warn me in the beginning, but I was probably too busy staring at her hooters to actually hear what she was saying. Lol.

The 8-8 I dated jumped off the end of the Okaloosa Island fishing pier late one night during one of her many manic episodes and couldn't swim, she was one hell of a woman on the upswing but when the down swing got going it damn sure was scary. The last time she cut her wrist I had had enough but somehow the Doctors got her on some kind of med's that got her stabilized and she married well and was doing great til the Big C took her after about 10 or 12 years of the good life. I was happy for her but to scared to do more then hug her neck and congratulate her on her wedding. Kept up with her thru mutual friends and hated to see her pass. She was 5'2 Irish, Japanese and Native American (Cherokee) if I remember right but this was back in 78, she worked with me on Duke Field before taking a job as a bartender and Lord she use to get me drunk every night, she kept a big glass just for me at the end of the bar and wouldn't let it get empty and then when she closed up the bar it was on. Thank goodness they didn't have security cameras back then.

Ah, another work week. I don't ever remember having a job I looked forward to going but helping Sean take an airport apart is really as much fun as it is work. Nice to work in a non-construction gig for a change.

And you'll be overjoyed today Rick. I went to Home Depot Saturday and bought you the deluxe box of contractor cleanup bags. I'll even bring the good shovel for picking up trash.

Im hoping we are gonna have the big folding party tonight but I don't think the weather will cooperate.

Marrying hotties. All three of my marriages were to smoking hot ladies. First one would bounce from party animal to the Church Lady so often I didn't know when I was gonna have a porn worthy weekend or spend it repenting for those sins of the flesh. Shes still that way except now she also likes to throw in her extreme left wing political views at every opportunity. Second one was a blast in the sack but her problem was she could never decide whether she would rather f $&× or fight. She enjoyed either pursuit equally. Third one went from Barbie doll to 90 year old rocking chair bound wannabe in six months.

As far as work goes, this week is going to be slow. Saturday I did exactly what I'm always worried about, trashed my bad knee. I went stomping around in the woods behind the airport and stepped in a hole. Been through this probably 6 times in the last 4 decades. I know I've screwed up when the pain is so bad I want to puke. So, I get to spend the next couple of weeks wearing my big honkin' leg brace and questioning why I bought a two story house. Upside is ill get to catch up on all the books I've downloaded and haven't gotten to.

Ahhh beautiful 30° morning in Boise Id, I missed this cold.
I forgot how much I hate flying, especially when on the plane and hearing all the repeated coughing and sneezing. I was bathing all of us in hand sanitizer.
