Call me racist or whatever you want, but I really don't like these folks ringing my doorbell. What's the deal?

Yea that stuff can be annoying. I had a lady come to my house a while ago selling magazines. I wasn't doing anything else so I gave her my time and ended up buying a magazine sub for my daughter for like $50.
I knew the chances of me ever seeing the magazine were pretty slim but I didnt mind.

You have hit one of my pet peeves. I have a few steak salesmen stories to tell. Ill do so tonight. Stamping those assholes out in my lifetime is one of my goals.

I think I remember one of your stories, Sean. Thing is there's been a few daytime break-ins around here lately. So naturally, I go to the door carrying. I don't open the door, I just shout that I'm not interested. And they leave. Fair enough.
The problem is that I'm not always home... That bothers me. We're gonna have to do some more firearms training around here soon.
Plus, if I want steaks, I just throw a rock at my windshield. Speaking of which... Lol.

Door-to-door salespeople are one of my pet peeves as well. I got my wife to find a subtle and classy looking "No Soliciting" sticker that we've got stuck on the glass next to our front door. Believe it or not, we haven't been bothered since putting it up.

Nice. Lol. The dude, did stay about 7 yards away from the door. I appreciated that, even though we know how long it takes to cover that distance.

Rubber snakes work good too. But then again a mean looking tube snake might work. Someone said Stanley had a good deal going?

If they are on the up and up then at least they are trying to make a living instead of collecting a hand out. I bet it's not an easy living to make.

Agreed, but I'm not willing to find out if that's not the case.

NOW ......... I'm anxious to see if Sean tells the same story tonight as he told me the day I was over.

Some time ago I went down to Office Depot and had some business cards printed up. One side has Sean's address on it and the other explicit directions to his house. When the steak "doode's" come to the door I politely tell them "no thanks" and just before they launch into how their steaks are soooooo good they even sell them to LLoyd's Glass to be given away to the tune of "Really Great Steaks",I simply hand them one of the little cards and ........... whoooosh ............. away they go with a profuse "thank you, thank you sir".

    NO SHIT !! --- SAWMAN

The mastiff isn't much of a barker if I'm around. She'll just watch from behind me. I saw them drive up so I was already there, but if we don't get there first, she lets out this thunderous bone chilling sound. Then I remember why I scoop 5lb patties in the backyard every few days.

Yeah Sean ... BUT .... you had better put on that sign that the weapon is a 6.8SPCII. Iffen people feel that it could be a 300BLK they will probably just walk right by it. --- SAWMAN

I don't have a problem with vendors of any kind. Probably due to the 6' chain link fence with barbed wire. Yeah the house looks like a compound but it is all to keep my little Great Dane in her 2 acre play area. The barbed wire is so she won't jump the fence. She can jump the 6" chain link. And oh yeah it does keep all kinds of riff raft out.
