The Only outer marks on the blueing is a light line near the rear of the cylinder from the advancer, can be seen in pictures. The screw heads are sharp. The logo and markings are clear. No worn edges, no scratches or dings. Mechanically all the actions work correctly. The double-action trigger is smooth. The single-action is crisp. Unfortunately no box or paperwork but the condition makes this a plus for any collection.
Background: A double-action, K-frame revolver designed for use by military and police, the Smith & Wesson Model 13, sometimes referred to as the Military & Police Magnum, is a heavy-barrel variant of the Model 10 chambered in 357 Mag. It was a trusted choice for a number of law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, before most switched to semi-automatic handguns. 84756A20-20AC-4A9C-8422-3B2539FF8986.jpeg 7EFF96F5-FB5E-427A-B908-662D14A06E46.jpeg C3E6F772-D55D-4C55-BA47-8D4DA2804E9B.jpeg ED842817-5F5D-4E29-9CDE-E95536BB8708.jpeg 33842D57-6DFE-4FDA-BE4E-30ED31BBE74E.jpeg 16DBA445-17AA-4371-91BA-AA9277C35621.jpeg 583221B0-A89B-4A62-BB97-5B28C9DD504E.jpeg A9FCD45C-67B6-4FC9-A838-6E3DE01EFB24.jpeg 43BA667E-CC9B-4A17-95C8-3EF8734A4950.jpeg 84756A20-20AC-4A9C-8422-3B2539FF8986.jpeg 7EFF96F5-FB5E-427A-B908-662D14A06E46.jpeg C3E6F772-D55D-4C55-BA47-8D4DA2804E9B.jpeg ED842817-5F5D-4E29-9CDE-E95536BB8708.jpeg 33842D57-6DFE-4FDA-BE4E-30ED31BBE74E.jpeg 16DBA445-17AA-4371-91BA-AA9277C35621.jpeg 583221B0-A89B-4A62-BB97-5B28C9DD504E.jpeg A9FCD45C-67B6-4FC9-A838-6E3DE01EFB24.jpeg 43BA667E-CC9B-4A17-95C8-3EF8734A4950.jpeg

really nice gun but not at that price......what might youwant to trade for?
Just looking for something different, I like old wood and steel don’t mind if they need work. some newer tactical mostly Sig.

I know it sounds expensive but tracked a few on GB and they sold (not just listed) around $1,200-$1,500 on GB in fair to good condition!? The 3”, more desirable but there’re selling at over $2,000!

I wasn't going to ask this question because I'm not a buyer, but it keeps popping up at the top, so here goes. Has anyone else noticed that this revolver lacks a pinned barrel? I owned a 13-2 and it was both pinned and recessed, as are all others I can find photographed. As this one is recessed but not pinned, it might be a transition piece from -2 to -3? OP, any thoughts?
