Yea I know I got off the wall interests. But it keeps things interesting. (Though definitely wishing Bill was still around because I feel like he likely had a load for this exact rifle from his guide days)

But has anyone reloaded for a tube magazine ruger 44 mag semi auto carbine. The big things I know be cognizant of oal and it likes being run toward the hotter end due to the gas piston system. And avoid cast lead also due to the gas piston system.

Tku, but somebody clear coated it with a brush so its a shooter. The only other ive heard is don't use heavy bullets. Over 240gr? Also anybody know if the 10-22 barrel band fits? (Sling)
Remove the clear and hand rub some Tru oil or linseed oil on it, makes a wonderful finish.

Reload as close to factory as you can with 240 grain bullets. Anything less the gun will stove pipe the spent cases. At least that is what happened to me. I thought there was something wrong with the gun. Nope, it likes 'em hot.
