Here is my "baby" 223Rem. Started out as a 22"(??) NEF Handi Rifle.
Replaced stock with a youth stock with a 12.5" LOP. Chopped the already heavy bbl to 18 inches.
    Trigger set at 3lbs 6.7ozs.
Great little accurate shooter, especially with the 50gr Barnes TSX.
Have had this weapon for many years. ---- SAWMAN

Bought this old beat up charter boat rifle from a local Men's Store in FWB. The old 181 Mini shot 4-6" groups at 100. Had 3 fractures in the gas block attachment arms. So I figured if AI could rebuild one to shoot MOA so could I. This I started the rebuildI of this 14 just a wee bit. Complete disassembly and take down, all parts, ASI adjustable gas block, re-crown, moving parts polish. piston replaced and new piston fitted, trigger job, action glass bedded, barrel with 8" sleeve, Wichita scope base, recoil pad to extend the LOP, cleaned and oiled the stock. Now shoots .35 inch groups at 100 with 53 grain SMKs at 3250 FPS.

Shot a 300 pound hog with it, one shot, the bullet hit the point of aim. Heart shot running through the woods at 75 yards.

This was a common rifle at one time, not so much today, is a Winchester Pre 64, Model 70, Pre War, gun with the fluer de lis upper tang. The old 06 girl still shoots sub 1/2" groups. It had two holes drilled and tapped, so I just made it four holes for the scope bases. Stock has a recoil pad so is not terribly valuable, but still a nice old 06.
