Used "Minwax Wood Finish" penetrates, stains & seals. I applied two coats of dark walnut 2716 then applied one coat gunstock 231 to darken. These are oil based stains and sealer not the Birchwood Casey water based. This was a first time build so don't know if water/oil makes a difference.

Thank you. Just got an choate ultimate sniper stock. Picked it up new from a guy on another forum for 25.00. He squad he didn't like it. I'm gonna take her out this weekend and I'll do a review of it. It's pretty heavy but I think it will help with recoil also. I'll throw some pics of it tonight.

Here's one I just finished up a couple weeks ago. I took it out and sighted it in and it's great long distance shooter after I addressed some little issues. It's finished in Titanium and Sig dark Grey Cerakote.
