Just replaced my old furniture with the matching Magpull stuff. All I need to replace now is the VFG and get an ambi mag release. I will be getting a quick release scope mount for it soon too so I can mount a 4x16x44 scope on it.

My .270 project. I bought this from my friend that is stationed at Fort Irwin, California. He was needing to get his ole lady to California for a military ball so he sold me this Remington 700 SPS ADL with the Nikon 3-9X40 Protstaff scope. After taking it apart I free floated the barrel, got some DNZ Game Reaper scope rings (not pictured), and of course painted it a different color. So all together about $275 into. Also shoots less than a inch at 100 yards:bounce:

Picked this up from Dan1612 today. Mounted the RDS when I got home, but ran out of daylight to get it zeroed.

Good buy Don. My buddy picked up the PWS he had for sale. I like the red dot on there.

Yea, it should be a fun one. I'm going to try to zero it tomorrow here at the house and then hit the range with it next weekend.

Here is a few of my lever action guns that I built. Top two are 357 Super Mags, next is a 222 Rimmed W English walnut and the bottom is a 218 Bee. The maple stocked 357 SM is a switch barrel, it has a 225 WM barrel that fits it.

Here's a mini-sniper rifle I built recently. I use it to keep the neighborhood kids off the lawn.:nono:
It has a Howa 1500 barreled action, .223 Rem, heavy barrel, Stainless Steel.
I shaped the Richard's walnut stock which came to me nicely inletted for the Howa. It's pillar and glass bedded with Devcon 10110
    Mueller 8.5x25x50 scope

    That is a pretty.

Thanks. The walnut is supposed to be AA Fancy Claro. I wouldn't say it's double A nor would I say it's Fancy grade; however, it isn't bad and the price was OK. The inletting was very sharp and precise. I don't think I could ask for better and it fit the Howa 1500 perfectly. Of course, I had to remove some of the wood to allow for bedding, but that's not unexpected.

The exterior, however, was not even close. It was better than a log, but it was a LONG way from the finish shape. For example, even though the action dropped right in, you couldn't even open the bolt much less remove it. My first tool was a big table saw and my second was a big band saw. I should have weighed it because I'm quite sure half the wood wound up on the floor.

But, after a lot of carving and whittling, I'm pleased with how it turned out. I'm not complaining because I expected to do a lot of work on the stock. Indeed, for the relatively low price and considering how good the inletting was, I'm happy with the value-for-money. It did take a while to get it delivered though.

Easy to believe that it was not properly inletted and someone got tired of fooling with it. Folks do not understand how much time it takes to make and finish a custom stock. They start and do not want to finish. A trueism, it takes the same amount of work to fit and finish a $50 or $500 stock. Nice job.

Perhaps I wasn't clear. It WAS properly inletted. In fact, the inletting was perfect.

And nobody got tired of fooling with it. It was purchased that way from the manufacturer and came unfinished, just like they promised. It was nearly exactly what I expected except that it was quite a bit larger than I anticipated and I thought the wood grade would be a little bit better.

Misunderstood, sounded to me like you bought it partially finished from someone else.
