Do you delete your old (SOLD) ads or a mod does??? I'm getting contacts from items already sold and posted as sold??? However, the ad is still there.. reading is fundamental.

My personal favorite is new members who go through a bunch of three year old sale adds and post “still available?” on them all
They are in the same group of new members that put up a FS ad, "Title; 1911 for sale. No location and no other details.
It's like they are lonely, or attention deprived and want members to contact them. The "attention deprived" also fits some well known members who take joy to point out the obvious…OR just make totally of the subject posts.

I like to look at the older ones when I'm pricing something for sale. But to question an ad that is 6 months old or more is just people finding an easy way to raise there post count.
    Cause,
To some people it's all about the post count...

Yep, kind of like the adage that the more keys a man has on his key chain the more important or successful he is. I have three keys on mine.:(
