He said he got it from academy. Like 50-60.00. It says tactical on it like it is the brand name. I looked on academy.com and can’t seem to find it

Very interesting build. The polymer is an interesting choice.
I'm not sure if I'd value at 1500.

Maybe with a couple hundred rounds of 556.

From my experience, Franken-builds don't pull as much value.

Looks like a center point on their site
    now that I searched 1-4x20.

In my opinion, it's not a $1500 AR, even in this inflated economy. It's a Frankenstein build for sure, and who wants an ATI Omni polymer lower. You don't even get the fun-switch safety, you get a push button like an old-model .22 rifle. The truth is, however, that value is such a matter of perception. For all I know, that thing will shoot the wings off a gnat at a hundred meters, but I've seen plenty of decent AR's recently for similar or lesser pricepoints.

$1500 will still get you a quality rifle. That's not it. That setup is solidly in the 3 figure range.
And honestly, not a high three digit gun. The ati omni rifles were bottom barrel budget ar15s, not sure the quality of that lower. With other upgraded parts, it's probably better than the stock omni was, but.. you can buy better out build better than this for less in my opinion.

Buy a complete lower. Then buy an aero upper. And buy a bcg and charging handle. Would be a ton better for under a grand or right at it

I've been looking into building a .357 AR and pricing stuff, there's a lot of stuff available still if you want to build your own, and everything except the lower can be shipped right to your door. Lowers are the hardest to find, and they're still out there and the various LGS's have had them when I've stopped by.

Personally, I like stock factory guns. Not because there aren’t some good pieced-together guns but rather because I don’t understand them.
With factory guns, you know what you are getting.

The only way it would be worth 1500 is if he threw in a Daniel Defense, BCM, Colt etc. with it!!
