    A ton of LE agencies are jumping on the red dots with both feet, so in a few years we should have a ton of data on reliability.

    Like I said in an earlier post, a red dot on a handgun is worth about an 8-12% boost in performance on a "how many points per second did you get?" course and it really lets you see what you're doing in dry fire. The tradeoff for that is worrying about batteries, lenses getting scratched up, a bigger overall size on the gun making it harder to conceal, and not being able to just soak it down with solvent to clean it (no more dishwashers, Glock fans!).

    They have their place, for sure, but like Kirk with Klingons, I will (probably) never fully trust them.

    Other than the Trijicon RMR , Leupold Delta Pro Point & Aimpoints are any others REALLY battle-tested on sidearms ? Sorry LEO's but the street aint the same & I'm not hampered by BS ROE's no mo'...
