I have a a dozen .223 rounds that the bullets have sunk into the casing, to where only 1/4" is sticking out. Can they be repaired? Anybody want them?

Dismantling the rounds with a bullet puller is a pretty straight-forward task. You can probably borrow one from a member if need be.

How did they end up like this, improperly adjusted bullet seating die or compression after they were loaded?

You might be able to pull them with an inertia-type puller.

Are they factory rounds? Were the bullets set back into the cases from hitting the feed ramp?

They may have come in a batch that I bought, I've never had any feeding issues with this AR

I don't have a puller( I tried pulling them out with pliers, but they just slipped off). If anyone wants them, they're free.

Pliers will probably gouge the bullet. I don't own a bullet puller either. I've typically just scraped rounds I messed up- well, that was before primers became more valuable than a brick of gold that was pooped by the Mona Lisa herself. I'd try and salvage what ya' could. I'd take em' but I'm way out in Shalimar.
