With multiple shooters reported -- my first thought was terrorism, rather than a nut case...

I don't think this event will help the Dem's case. Gun control is still too much of a hot issue for them to spend political capital upon -- especially those coming up for re-election.

Some reports are now saying that he came in with a shotgun and shot security/military personnel and took their weapons. That is how he obtained the pistol and rifle. Not sure on the accuracy of this info though.

The reports of him shooting the apartment above him after complaining to the occupant about the level of sound coming from her apartment. Then the case where he shot out another mans tires in a "rage fueled blackout". I am seeing a pattern of behavior. That asshole should have forfeited his gun rights after those instances.

Heck he could be one of Obamas sons he never had like Travon.

    A Predictable Result:

So this guy joins the military late in life (27 yrs old) and exhibits a pattern of misconduct. He receives a General Discharge. Leaving the military he is hired by a defense contractor and goes to work on a military installation. A lesson learned here...military documentation concerning misconduct should weigh heavily on hiring decisions. An employer may not see the misconduct paperwork, but in questioning his Gen Discharge, background investigation etc they should have reconsidered hiring this guy. He fires a round through his ceiling into the apartment above supposedly while cleaning his gun. Consider the reported fact he had altercations with this lady who reported to police she was "terrified of him". Later he shoots the tires out of a car in an "anger-fueled blackout". No arrest or conviction. This guy was trouble from the beginning. His liberties should have been cut off as he sat in jail but that never happened. Instead innocent people, disarmed at the gate of a gun-free zone, fell victim to an armed madman who will not be reasoned with. When will the antis see when faced with overwhelming odds our right to self-protection and preservation should extend to whenever and wherever we may legally be?

Doubtful that the main stream propaganda machines will report this correctly.

    http://www.breitbart.com/InstaBlog/...ed-Weapons-Along-the-Way&utm_campaign=foxnews

Main stream media is leaving out the part that he took the rifle and pistol from armed security after shooting them. It's more sensationalized to leave that tid bit out. It fits the gun control finatics better if people believe that he already had those weapons. You know since our VP said that all we need is a shotgun and to blast it in the air. Appearently he was wrong. All you need is a shotgun to shoot the folks with the AR style guns and to take them instead of buy them.

I heard that report about him getting the AR out of a gun safe. Now the antigun nuts will believe that just any one can walk up to a safe and open it. Bet there is no retraction on that news report.:frusty:

Now the report is that no AR-15 style weapon was used at all. It was a shotgun that he brought in and two handguns taken from people/security that he shot. Why does the American people allow the media to feed them garbage first and then allow them to correct the information after the wrong info was posted. First on the story is more important than being correct. I really hate how the media feeds the masses the information on a story.

Man!!! They are trying so hard to put an AR15 in this guys hands it's ridiculous!!! They have CONFIRMED he had a shotgun bought in Virginia, and a pistol that he took off a cop!!! But that doesn't fit the Libtard agenda trying to take our rights away now does it. It's almost funny. They keep saying they have an UNCONFIRMED source saying he had an AR, lol. So if you can't confirm something why the Hell are you reporting it? Shut the Hell up and do your job by reporting FACTS not hearsay or opinions

Another good example of why trained, authorized and responsible people SHOULD be allowed to carry on station.
Ft Hood is another example where the right folks being armed possibly could greatly reduce casualties and maybe even deter some of this crap. A military installation being a "gun free" zone??? Ridiculous!

Per Fox News: The Navy veteran who gunned down 12 at Washington Navy Yard had his federal security clearance renewed in July, despite having a record of violent behavior involving guns and a history of mental illness.

Now tell me how this is the gun's fault no matter what type of gun it was?

Looks like most of the media is talking about the shotgun now. Surprise Surprise!

They said he bought the shotgun two days before along with 24 shells. What I do not get is how if he was discharged from the Navy how he could then later get a security clearance.

general discharge, not dishonorable discharge.. dishonorable is the only one where you cant buy guns..
