I spoke with an ATF agent this evening on another matter. We discussed this incident. He said that there was no AR-15 or M4 rifle involved -- not even one from a law enforcement agency taken by the bad guy. He only took handguns from LEO(s).

The media wants so bad to bring an evil black rifle into this event -- rather than to focus on yet another "nut case" (the common denominator in all mass shootings in recent years) that was the true cause.

general discharge, not dishonorable discharge.. dishonorable is the only one where you cant buy guns..

Under most instances a general discharge will become honorable after a certain period of time with good behavior. What I can't figure it is how a guy with two prior gun instances and a history of being unstable was still able to get out of the military and get a Secret security clearance through a government contractor???

This is what I was referring to. How can did he get clearance with his history. I understand how he could get a gun or even a CC since he had no record because their was no convictions.

Correct, the FBI released a statement that says there was never an AR-15 involved at all. The shooter had a Remington 870 12-gauge that he was able to buy legally, and he took the Glock 9mm from the Officer he shot and killed. The AR-15 theory came from very early security camera footage where a man was seen running with an AR-15's, but was later identified as an LEO. The instant the MSM heard the word AR-15, they tried everything they could do to twist it into a 'another assault weapon used in mass killing' scenario. Instead it turned out to be Crazy Joe's (Biden) weapon of choice, the simple shotgun. What a letdown that must have been for the media and the gun haters.

The shooter test fired and tried to buy an AR-15, but was prevented from doing so by a Virginia state law barring such purchases from non-residents, but that came out after the fact.

Here is a perfect example posted by the NY Daily News on Sept. 17, 2013. Even with the FBI's statement, which was tweeted by CNN's Pamela Brown @ 6:29am, and reported @ 9:30am ET Tuesday, this rag has not retracted or corrected this false article as of the time of this post.

Aaron Alexis, who police said killed 12 people and wounded 14 others at the base, wielded the same weapon that Adam Lanza used to slaughter 20 first-graders and six staffers at a Connecticut elementary school — an AR-15 assault rifle. The 34-year-old maniac also was armed with a shotgun and a semiautomatic pistol when police ended his rampage by shooting him dead.

Is there no way to hold news agency's accountable anymore, liabel or sue for missleading information? seems to be a reasonable charge that would be easy enough to prove in court??
