Found this old thread & thought id jump on the tail end of it instead of starting a new one. Im looking to get some affordable optics on my Ruger 10-22 & have about $150 to spend. Bass Pro has a Nikon® ProStaff® 3-9x40 .22LR Rimfire Riflescope on sale for $129.99:
    http://www.basspro.com/Nikon-ProStaff-39x40-22LR-Rimfire-Riflescope/product/12091805084016/#desc-tab

They also have a Nikon® P-22 AR Riflescope listed for $149.99:
    http://www.basspro.com/Nikon-P22-AR-Riflescope/product/120308/

Any input on either of these scopes would be much appreciated. I plan on buying a scope for my Colt LE6920 after I save a little more cash, but want to get the Ruger outfitted first.

    Thanks - HC

I am currently messing with a Millett ( Bushnell) LRS 6x25x56. Seems to be rock solid so far. Will let you know how it shoots after this weekend.

Ok first off none of the cheap scopes mentioned are 30mm tube scopes they are 1" tubes. To get any Nikon in 30mm your at $500 minimum with little to no variation of power. The mill dot reticle you want is not going to be offered in a cheap Nikon with 30mm tube. Out if all the cheap priced 30mm tube scopes I have sold over the years Konus Pro M30 has a great scope with good glass and good power for under $400.
